Something kinda of scary? I'm 33 so she had her tubes tied the same year I was born!:o
LOL! I've heard of a vasectomy possibly becoming less effective as the years go by, but tubes being tied? :earseek:

a cat named Barney. Do you know why? He found him in a barn. The guy had a Ph.D. too.  :p

These are great! Keep 'em coming.

59 and twins:faint:
I couldn't even handle twins now!

I'm STILL ROTFL about "Barney", TB.

Anyone have hot plans for the weekend? I know Suzanne and PA are headed to Disney. No plans here. :( It's always a long weekend when there's nothing good to do. Guess we'll end up roaming the malls again. Window shopping. :(

Just what I needed! Turned on the computer when I got home from work and say 'Barney'! Wow! PW - I don't think I could have kept that one either! So with a smile on my face....I continue reading and I read the twin story! I had heard about it but I didn't know the details! I had my tubes tied 6 years ago and I am in no mood to have a baby now...oh my gosh! No way am I starting over! I love me 15yo DD but I am looking for to some serious me time in a couple of years!

DBF Update-He is fine and in Bashra. The other day he called and was driving up to the Pizza Hut trailer. And also there are 7 pubs...he's in the British military compound now...so needless to say he is as happy as can be....beer and pizza! I am so glad he is there and not in Mosul where he thought he might have to go. His leave was approved so he will be leaving there Dec. 1 and will be home for a month. So glad he will be home for Christmas. This is the first Christmas that I won't have my DD here because she has to spend it with her dad who is in Phoenix. I wasn't sure how I was going to handle no DBF or DD.

No plans here for the weekend. It is supposed to be cold and maybe some snow. I need to touch up some paint so I think I'll do that. Exciting, huh?

Take care everyone and thank you for the laugh PW! Barney...please he really should think about changing his name!!

V.

Hi, Vicki! :wave2:

Glad your DBF is in a good place! :Pinkbounc And hooray for him being home for a month at Christmas! :Pinkbounc <a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/8/8_2_93.gif' alt='Mistletoe Kiss' border=0></a> <a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/8/8_2_73.gif' alt='Christmas Tree' border=0></a> That will be great for you! Personally, I'm ready to wipe the calendar clean and have it be January. Toughest time of the year with the holidays, and just three more days until the 12th anniversary of my husband's death. :( I think being in a new area is a real plus on this one. I don't seem to be doing the horrid anticipation of it here like I did in FL where we were together. Just a quick thought of only three more days and that's it. Move on to other things. Wish I had dates all week!! :teeth:

Just saw the movie Polar Express with dd. What a fabulous movie! And I just saw it on a regular screen. I bet the IMAX 3D will be really great!!! I may see it again next weekend in 3D. I think they have an IMAX in the north end of the county. I liked this movie much better than the Incredibles. PE was magical.

Last night I went out to dinner with a friend.

Sunday, dd's dad will get her for an overnight stay. Not sure what I will do with myself. Maybe go Christmas shopping for dd's gifts.

PW- Sorry your having a tough time with the anniversary. It is good you are in a new place this year. That should help:hug:
I personally know that being in the same old place with all the memories is really hard.

CM- That's great that DBF will be home for Christmas!!!

The cat named Barney still gave me a chuckle today!

PW-Hugs for the days ahead. It must be a difficult time of year with the anniversary as well as the holidays. I have a dear friend who lost her husband 8 years ago and it has seemed a little easier getting through the days surrounding his death but it's still not an easy day to get through. I'll be thinking of you! Thanks for the cute little emoticons. I was ready to just skip December as well but now it will be much better. But not quite the same without DD.

leggs-I have only heard good things about Polar Express...can't wait to go see it. Unfortunatly, it is not on at the IMAX here.
I had thought about going tonight but my DD has a huge project due on Monday and she has put it off until this weekend to do so no movies for us! Next weekend for sure though!

I've got to get motivated to do the touch-up painting! Maybe I'll have to ground myself until it's finished and then reward myself with Polar Express next weekend. Better get to painting then!

Take care everyone!

Thanks, Legs! Thanks, Vicki! :)

Glad to hear you liked Polar Express, Legs. I'd like to see that one. And it is at an IMAX theater the next town over. Yipee! No 45 minute drive!

Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr...it's 61 degrees in the house. Just turned the heat on.

 Sandy. :(

We had just the opposite reaction - both of us liked the Incredibles more!!! :p

CM - I'm so glad to hear your boyfriend is safe! I bet it will be a much easier Christmas having him with you. How old is your daughter again?

Barney was actually a very sweet kitty - a much better catch than her owner!! :p

I have a funny match story to share: I have a friend who has dated this woman several times that he met on match - nothing too serious yet (atleast not emotionally ;) ). Anyway he is still on the chase and ends up winking at a friend of hers! Is that not funny? :hyper:  I guess it is all part of the game unless you have decided to be exclusive.

DD just left to go with her dad and I am so glad because I feel frazzled and need a break from her. But on the other hand this feeling of aloneless isn't good either. He's taking dd to see the Incredibles along with his gf and her 2 kids. And I almost said...and it was soooo hard to hold it back too....."oh you're just one big happy family".

Thanks, TigerBear! That's a really nice print also...I bet your DBF will like it a lot! :)

Legs...I agree it's great to get a break! But you're right...the aloneness isn't fun. Can you find a friend to do something with?

Legs, don't give him the satisfaction. I don't even know the man but that makes me feel like spitting on him. -which probably isn't fair because he may just be trying to be a good father. I so understand where you are coming from though. :(

Thanks for the feedback on the print. I think its "the one". If only I could figure out whether my DBF was "the one". :p ;)
