Okay...I've Called the Late Night DISers, Now I'm Calling the Single DISers (Part 2)

To dry it flat, just place it on the table with a towel protecting the table. At leat PW you read the tags. Me, it goes from washing machine into the drier. Haven't had in any probs with that.

Thanks, Suzanne! Most things get tossed in the dryer after I've had them a while. ;)

So how did it go PW?
It was a SHORT day! Thanks for asking!! :) They weren't quite ready this morning. I met with the guy who let me know what he wants. Not a problem. Then he said he was trying to reach someone in IT since first thing and couldn't get anyone. Finally he gets them while I'm sitting there. He wanted a laptop to go one floor up with me. So he had me take a seat in the lobby while he's waiting for IT to show up. Just after 9, he comes out and says go have a cup of coffee and come back at 10, should be ready by then. Okay...I kill time going to Starbucks and get a yummy latte. I get back and he says they brought a laptop, but the "P" isn't working! LOLOL! :( :( I couldn't wait to get started and I didn't do a thing today. So at that time he told me he'd pay me for 2 hours and come back tomorrow morning. :) :teeth: I only met with him briefly! He didn't get 2 hours worth of work out of me. So I hope everything is ready to go tomorrow morning. I think I'm going to like this.

Welcome, Witchiepoo. :wave2:

I'll bet you're a man, not a wo-man. :)

Hi! Hope everyone is having a good weekend. It's a strange weekend for me...first one that I am totally alone. DBF fine in Bagdad...thank goodness he called me Thurs. before I heard the news about the bombings in the Green Zone. It's getting too close for comfort. He called this morning and said he will be able to come home for two weeks Dec. 1. Not for Christmas but at least he is able to come home. I miss him a lot! I just took my DD to the airport to go visit her dad in Phoenix for a week...so it will be a very quiet week here.

Trip to NYC went well. Love that city but glad I don't live there. Too many people!

PW-How was your week at work?

Legs-So impressed with your electical handy work! Do you know how to change a kitchen faucet? That is what I want to replace.

FM-Hope all works out with you tests and that you will soon have relief.

TB-What were you powerwashing? Your house? If so that is a lot of work. Sure it was worth it though!

Take care everyone....have a great weekend!

Vicki

Hi, Vicki! :wave2:

Glad things are going well and DBF is good in Baghdad. Scary stuff there. :(

New York? A couple weeks ago I cut an ad out of the AAA magazine I received about a trip to NYC in December...from here! :) I'd looooooooooooooooooooooooove to go, but without working for so long, I don't think we'll be going. :(

Work last week went well. Yea! They have me coming back this week. YEA! I'm off tomorrow though since I have two interviews. One in the morning with an agency that saw my resume online, and the second is a hospital for the same work I was doing at my last job in FL...what I'm trying to ESCAPE! Actually, I'd love to stay at the company I'm temping for. They're pretty much accounting and consulting but have their hands in a lot!! Either that or stay at the office I'm temping in! Also a hospital, but out of the hospital atmosphere in an office building...NICE offices!! LOL! I could get used to this! Working in the office of the VP of Physician and Service Line Development. Ha! That used to me mushed into my boss' job at the hospital! Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, what a difference a different hospital chain can make!! VP asked about my background, then told me to mention it to the guy at the agency I'm working for and have him call Dr. So and so at the hospital. Ha! I've never seen people move so fast, but I haven't heard a peep yet. Just mentioned it to them on Thursday. We'll see. :) So things are going well here. Plus the office is about a 7 minute drive. Nice to come home for lunch, eat, take the pups out, and get back in less than an hour. EXACTLY what I'd like! Crossing some fingers here. Oh! I do have another interview on Thursday that I'm considering canceling. I think working in some area of social services would be interesting, but this one is for "foster grandparenting." Ack! I had enough of senior citizens in FL!! And I'd much rather work with men than women. I've had female bosses too many years! They're the worst in my opinion. Ha! As the temp agency lady said when I first met with her weeks ago, I don't want to work for a micro manager. Boooo hisssss! Men, in my experience, are much better at telling me what they want done and letting me get that result on my own. Females try to tell me how to get there. I HATE that!!

Hope you're having a good weekend!!

Anyone else doing anything interesting? I keep saying it's time to catch up on house cleaning, but so far only the laundry is in progress.

FLM- Good luck with your tests today:D

PW- Glad the job is going well.

Vicki- Glad DBF is safe. I thought of him when I heard of those bombings. Enjoy your quiet time. I know when I get time alone, it feels weird and I don't know what to do with myself.
I've never changed a faucet. I hope that opportunity does not come up!

I went for a job interview a week ago in the area where my family lives. It would be dealing with the elderly- mainly those with dementia. Plus some wound care and cleaning out ear wax. Ick! I'ved never liked dealing with dementia pts., chronic care, wound care, etc. Even though it's M-F and the manager is so nice, I found it's not an area I want to work. :(

We were at the Magic Kingdom today celebrating my mom's birthday. What a gorgeous day. Not a cloud in the blue, blue sky and cooler temps. My mom got to ride in the front of the monorail for the first time. We weren't rushed. Nothing we had to see. Just did whatever we felt like doing or seeing. It was nice to really look around and soak in the sights of the MK. I loved the pumpkins in the upper windows of the stores on Main Street. The MK closed early because of MNSSHP (we didn't go to that). We got to see the MK decorated for the Halloween party. On the way back to the TTC we took the boat instead of the monorail. It was a lovely way to end the day.
Now I just got to bed at 12:30am and woke at 2:30am and have to be up at 6:30am. I'm going to be a zombie at work.

Hello everyone,

It is so hard to watch the new now. Everytime I hear anything about the Green Zone I wonder.....But luckily he is safe for now.

PW-I love NYC luckily I have the hotel account there so I might be traveling there every couple of months. It is a world of it's own that is for sure. How did the job interviews go? I hope something come up that you like. It makes all of the difference in the world to like your job. I love mine although it is stressfull and those hotel managers can be so demanding!!! The days sure fly by! I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you!!

Legs-How lucky you are to be able to go to WDW so easily! I am hoping that we still are able to go on the Panama Cruise. Or should I say that DBF can go. I think that DD and I will go regardless. He is trying to work it out so he can go. He can not be in the USA for more than 35 days in the next year or he'll have to pay taxes on his earnings. 35 days is not very many days out of 365!! And he's hoping to save 14 days for the cruise.

FM-Did you have your tests today?

Take care everyone!

CoM- That's great that you'll get to visit NYC so often. I LOVE NYC and my dd7 wants me to take her there one day. I'm trying to exchange my timeshare into NYC.
My brother was stationed in Iraq and everytime I heard on the news about soldiers being killed my first thought was him and I prayed it wasn't him. Now he is in Afghanistan.
Are you on the Disney Panama Cruise? I wouldn't want to miss that!

Had my tests yesterday. Don't go back to that doc till the 18th of Nov. though. Think he would call before hand though if a prob. I'm still thinking it's stress related. Have a mediation date now for Nov. 5th. Hoping to get that resolved here, since it's been going on way too long. Would like to get my life on track. BTW....why do all men right now drive me crazy. I think I'll just go off and scream.

FLM- Hope all turns out well:D When I first read your post I thought you had a mediCation date:teeth:
Men.....who needs 'em? As long as I have a handyman, I'm ok.

I like my man more then a handyman...he's just driving me crazy right now. Plus this distance and everything is just not working right now. UGH!!!!

Good news. Brianna earned a perfect score on her math test. She was going around showing everyone. She's learning so much so fast. She's already reading. Now she reads to me at night versus me reading to her at night.

Went to Epcot this weekend and my Packer Mickey attena topper was stolen off my car. Was shocked

I don't like any man more than a handyman:teeth: Everything is so good without one!

That's great that Brianna is doing so well. I can't even remember if dd had math tests in K!

Did you go to any special event dinners at Epcot or did you graze at the booths?

You know what I get stolen off my car- the caps that screw on the tire valve:crazy:

The lady I interviewed with called today and wants me to call her. I can't tell from her message if she is going to say I did or didn't get the job.

I twisted my ankle when I got home. I fell off the edge of the sidewalk, fell down, and dropped the two packages. Luckily there wasn't anything breakable in them. My ankle sure did hurt. It's still bothering me.

Keeping my fingers crossed for you Legs.

We just went on two rides at Epcot. Went to Spoodles for dinner. Plan on the grazing and drinking around the world next month. Going for a girls' weekend for my mom's b-day.

What do people want with the caps of your valves? Wierd.
