Okay...I've Called the Late Night DISers, Now I'm Calling the Single DISers (Part 2)

Ugh! Nothing feels right tonight. Yes, I've been making big changes. And the excitement of it is great! BUT...there's the old but again...the hustle bustle is quieting down. :( Lonliness sucks!

Got up this morning to turn on my computer and found Windows corrupted. WHAT! Just fixed (actually had to reload Windows) and had to reinstall my ethernet card which took three hours....Don't ask a blond to install stuff on the computer. AGH! But I did it...other stuff still needs to be installed, but I've done enough computer stuff for one night!

Yup....I've fallen in love BIG time...He is the best thing that has happen in my life after Brianna...I am very lucky.

Thanks SW. He is a great find.

Congrats again FL::MinnieMo

PW: WE LOVE YOU!!!

Can't talk much tonight, lots of homwork
Ugh! :o

I'm here, I'm here. I need to catch up, but it looks like someone is really happy. :D

Ok, now to go back and read some more. :)

I did amazingly well on Saturday with only 3 hrs. of sleep. No problems driving. Stayed at MK until 11pm. I saw the Wishes fireworks show right in front of the castle- it was fantastic! On Sunday we went to brunch at Epcot where the flower festival was going on. The moms got a free flower and photo. The weather was fabulous the entire weekend. Had a great time.
Job thoughts kept intruding in my mind occasionally. :( I'm glad I took Mon. off work.
Tomorrow I leave for Vegas for 4 days. I am going alone but will be there at a conference. I got a ticket to see Cirque's show "O"! I really feel like a different person when I am on these work trips. I feel like a huge weight of responsibility is lifted off my shoulders. I feel free and light and fun.

FL::MinnieMo You've done a 180 degree turn around, from saying "life stinks" to being in love! That was quick!:D Congrats and enjoy!

PW- Yes, lonliness does suck. I too fell in love big time, only the guy turned out to be a freak  I feel like nothing works out and I most likely will end up alone. Like it's something other people have but I never will again.

Hugs PW and legs! Legs, I'm so glad you had a nice weekend. I know it must be discouraging, but don't give up yet! You never know when he might show up! If your eyes aren't open you might miss him. ;)

PW, I know it might be hard with your son, but have you considered getting involved in some type of group activity that interests you? Most areas have groups that focus on different activities, like outdoor stuff, dancing, biking, running, church, or volunteer organzations. Just something to get you out and meeting people.

I think both of you should try speed dating. What do you have to lose?

Glad you had a fun and memorable Mother's Day weekend, Legs! :) Oh, I'm just getting started! Yesterday I went and joined the YMCA. This place is GORGEOUS! I've never seen such a great YMCA. Of course, every military uniform coming in the door catches my eye. LOL! :faint: Haven't been there to exercise yet. Just signed up and took a tour yesterday. Either I'll get there later today or go tomorrow morning.

Thanks! LOL...just joined the YMCA yesterday. ;) I think they have adult volleyball. Now THAT I'm going to look into! Yipee! My husband and I used to play with the parks and rec dept. where we lived. Speed dating? LOL! Someone else has been talking to me about that. She's been to it and really enjoyed it...told me to go on the waiting list. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm...

No, my eyes aren't open.

That's what people tell me- get involved in an activity you like and you'll meet guys that way. But dd is with me 99.9% of the time. Hard to do anything for just me. So I'm not into any activities or hobbies. Usually, it's just dd and I doing stuff. Not anyone else with kids to hang out with. It does get extremely lonely and isolating.
The YMCA here is very old and located in a bad area. I can use the facilities at work for free plus I had a gym membership I was paying on every month. I wasn't using either one! Life got in the way and I stopped exercising. Too much to do to fit it in. I don't enjoy exercising and always end up stopping. So I'm not pumping anymore money into gyms. Volleyball and dancing would be fun though.

Motherhood consumes my whole life and it's very hard to do it all yourself.
But tonight and the next 4 days, it's all about me!:D And I'm lovin' it!

Enjoy the 4 days to yourself leggs! Sometimes you just need those me days.

It must be hard being a single mom. I can definitely see why you want to move closer to your family. I have actually considered adopting a child if I don't get married within the next few years. Damn biological clock! I don't feel old! But at 33, I know my body is getting old. :(

I hope you have a fantastic get-away Legs!!! You definitely deserve some "me time".

PW, the Y sounds like fun!! :D

Find a volleyball group or start dancing! :) I used to work with a bunch of nurses years ago. One of them was single or divorced, I forget which. She used to take ballroom dancing lessons. She loved it! The place hooked her up with a dancing partner. She said it was her romance for the evening, and she got to go home alone. LOL!

Motherhood certainly is time consuming...I'll agree with that! It's good you have 4 days to yourself! Do what YOU want to do! Look into volleyball or dancing! When life gets to the point of "my" time being a bubble bath, it's time to add something!!

My sister was like that also. But she did marry and have a baby. Don't worry, TigerBear...you have plenty of time! I remember when my OB told me that one of his patients was having her FIRST at 40! :faint: Too much for me. LOL! But it's possible. And a friend of mine had her FIFTH at 40! :faint: :faint: LOL! I don't know where she gets the energy!

Yesterday at the Y, we stopped and watched a guy playing racquetball. DS was really fascinated with it. Hey, if he's interested and it's exercise, I'm all for it! Tonight we were at WalMart and bought two rackets and balls. He's all set to play! LOL! Shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh...as soon as I drop him off at school tomorrow morning, I'm going to the Y and playing by myself! Talk about "my" time. ;) And I had to get a couple pairs of shorts and shirts to exercise in since losing 40 pounds. Yipee! :teeth: I like wearing normal size clothes and getting them for $5 each! Woooooooo hooooooooo!

Yep, the Y definitely sounds like fun! ::yes:: ;) I was at a party last week when a woman said that racketball was a sissy sport (well, she used an un-pc expression). I asked her if she has ever played with someone who really knows how to play. Absolutely nothing wussy about it!

Thanks for the baby encouragement. I know I still have some time. Why is db only 29.....ugh!!! He has all the time in the world.

I tried the Y thing before, but it became too expensive for how little I went. I loved doing water aerobics, but my trainer didn't like me doing that....he wanted me to do just weight training...not as much fun. I am thinking of taking a dance class this starting this fall. MIght be some fun and it's something I've alsways wanted to do.

A younger man, TB! Way to go!!! ;)

Sounds like fun, Suzanne. You should sign up for it. I wonder why your trainer only wanted you doing just weights...maybe to spend more time with (him?) ;)

nah...I have this problem that most people don't have...I have a hard time gaining weight...so weight training to gain the weight. Dance will be more fun anyways!

Oh! Unfortunately, I've never had that problem. Just the other end of the spectrum. But two hours of racquetball was fun today! :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

A few of my friends play racquetball. They love it, it's not really for me, I have a lot of problems with my knees, ankles, wrists and elbows, pretty much all my joints. Ugh. So I tend not to do too much heavy activity. I walk, and I like to be active but it hurts to do too much. (I know I know I am only 21 but hey that is the cards I was dealt)

Is it ok for me to have such strong feeling for Chris this early. Yesterday I realized what my feelings really are. I was talking to my lil sister and I told her that I feel for Chris like I felt for Joe (the ex I thought I would marry) and she was like "WOAH that's a whole lotta liking" (that made me :rotfl: ) And then later someone asked me how many days until I leave for WDWCP and I didn't know. I mean I have been counting down day by day since I got accepted. Is it ok for me to love Chris this soon? I mean I do and it's already there so I guess it is ok. I have never felt like this so fast for anyone. I loved Joe and that was fast but not this fast.

Is is selfish of me to want to spend time with him today? He picks the girls up at 6 or 7 tonight and I wanted to spend time with all of them, we might all be going to the zoo on sunday so should I just chill and let him spend time with them alone? I haven't met them yet by the way.

Just looking for some comments to help me out. I am pretty good with critisism. (sp?)

Thank You all for listening to me. :)
