What is it with men? They don't return calls, etc. because they're cowards?

Don't believe I said that, but it's crossed my mind. They are the strangest creatures.
Thanks for the luck with job apps, Vicki. Last night I got two out. One to a medical school, the other for a city job. Both farther than I want to drive!

But they seem like good jobs so it might be worth it. Cross the fingers!! <a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/23/23_29_107v.gif' alt='My Fingers Are Crossed' border=0></a> There's another one in town I want to apply for but have been procrastinating about it since yesterday. Not the job itself, but applying. I'm tired of it!

These places are starting to put their own application forms online and want it e-mailed to them. Completing those is so time consuming!
TigerBear...Thanks! Both days at BG were a lot of fun. Good way to end the season. Now I guess we'll have to hit Williamsburg since they seem to be open year round.
Finished voting at 7:30 this morning. Much better than in the evening.
Hope the ankle is better, Legs!!
Speaking of exes...

that looks strange. Any way, speaking of them, I never did have one.

But Social Security thought I did. When I first applied for DS to receive survivor benefits, they had scheduled me for an appointment with them a few weeks later. I went in, sat down, and the lady started asking me if I had a picture of my DH, a few questions, etc. Then she said she wanted me to complete a form so "I could get more money." She thought he was my ex and he was avoiding payments!

I then told her he was deceased.

She flipped through a few pages in her chart and then saw the death certificate.

Unbelievable. I wasn't thrilled to have made an unnecessary trip with baby in tow.
I guess I better hop on that application...as much as I don't want to do it.
