Okay...I've Called the Late Night DISers, Now I'm Calling the Single DISers (Part 2)

It really sucks being lonely.
I don't want to settle either and I absolutely refuse to be one of those women that bring a new man into my life every month just to keep from being alone.

Any of us could do that. If we didn't have any self esteem or care about ourselves, we could go out there and have a man to bring home, any time we wanted. Even if for just one night.
It's our choice that we don't do anything like that. It's our decision that we make everyday. It's not even a conscious decision on my part. It's just something I can't do. I'm not made that way.

Somehow writing that down has made me feel better.
It still sucks though! :(

Must be pw
What does pw stand for?
I don't think you mean Pin Wizard.

Not settling here either. No way baby. I'd rather be alone.

I think she does mean PW. :)

Yes, I get very loney at times, but I don't want to be that way either. It's just not the way I was brought up.

Matt and I went out last night to shoot some pool. It was fun.

And again no call from the ex like he said. So long sucker! Who needs you anyway! :)

Oh I had to mention that the x didn't call didn't. He called me this morning. I am in class, I can receive calls!!!!!!!! So I didn't answer, he left a message, I will check it later, not sure if I'll call back. :)

LOLOL! Yes, sometimes it is the simple things that really get us. I'm like that occasionally also. Last week I was in Starbucks. The girl at the counter put the wrong amount in her register and was trying to figure how much change I should really get back. She ended up asking one of the guys working there. He looked puzzled himself. I told them what I should get back. LOL! He said stuff like this is over his head, but he's taking Vector Calc. LOLOL!

Exactly why kids shouldn't be learning with calculators in my book. Make them learn the process of figuring it out! I remember I was surpirsed at how early DS's class was using a calculator! :(

Kids don't know their mathmatical facts the way they use to. They don't emphasize it in the lower grades. I still have kids int he 6th grade adding with their hands!

I remember when I went to school...it was all on paper!...and show all your work!

Depends on the teacher nowadays. The kids understand the concepts better if they show their work!

I think some people are very book smart but don't have any common sense.
At least you have Starbucks in VA. Melbourne will be getting their first Starbucks! Actually it is in Indialantic and you can drink your coffee and look at the ocean:D

What's everyone doing this weekend? I am going to Melbourne to see my brother today. He is home on leave from Ft. Bragg having just returned from Iraq. He is always on the go! I imagine I would be too, after sitting in the desert for 7 months. He may go to Afghanistan next.:( He was lucky. He made it out of Iraq before the violence started escalating. They kept some troops longer because of the increased violence.

Legs, I'm glad your brother is safe and sound too. Enjoy your day. :)

I'm on my way to work. Got an early day again today, but then I have tomorrow off. yay! My little girl is with her dad this weekend. I'll be picking my oldest up tonight and she'll be here for the rest of the weekend. Probably on the phone. lol

Oh, I know several people who are really book smart but don't have a lick of common sense. Several of my male inlaws are like this. It drives everyone nuts. And my fil is a teacher.

But I don't remember them teaching me to count change back when I was in school, not in the regular math classes anyway. I took some business classes and they told me the easy way. I rarely make mistakes with money at work so they must have taught me well. lol

Leggs...glad to hear that your brother is home!

We have dance then going to head off to Epcot. My mom wants to see the flowers. Sunday is another hockey game! They played WOW! last night!

Glad to hear your brother is okay and home, Legs! :) Give him a hug from all of us!!

Money was a big thing in math when I was a kid. Sometimes I would have trouble understanding other parts of math, and sometimes I was able to think of it in terms of money. It was easy then! LOL!

Common sense is definitely needed. If a guy I meet doesn't have common sense, he's out the door.

I'm fighting with myself. Am I going to run to Starbucks for a sugar-free vanilla latte or make a pot of coffee here...yuck. I guess I'll save the $4 this time and make coffee. Then I can hop on that resume sooner. I HAVE to get that done this weekend! Found a good federal job opening and want it!!!! It's close to home, pays better than I ever made in FL. Get that resume done!!

Have a GREAT weekend!

My parents have always said this about my ex-husband. 98+ percentile on the LSAT - but he can hardly run his own life (especially when it comes to finances).

I'm drinking Starbuck's coffee made at home. With a International Delight creamer I think it is wonderful! :D

Last night we went to Tokyohana - a habachi and sushi place. Its the third time I have had Japanese steak and the third time I have been disappointed. Its so bland. Does anyone else feel this way?

Glad he is home, hope he gets to stay, atleast for a while.

PW: Can you get starbuck's for the house? I can't make my own coffe, infact sometimes I can't even get it at a cafe. My best friend has to make it. That's the only way i like it. LOL.

TB: Never had it. Probably won't try it now. Maybe someday. I have been very experimental in the past year or so.

::MinnieMo Have fun @ Epcot. Wish i could be there, just to get lost in the "world" and look at all the flowers. Can't wait till August.

I always said they should teach a common sense class in schools. LOL. It would help a lot of people.

Went out with some friends last night, Matt came with. OH Guess What!!! I told my ex not to call anymore. I told him to take my #'s out of his phone.

Oo i gotta go to work before I'm late. Bye

Startbucks!!...Cool!!
