Okay I'm freaking out!

I know you said your dd doesn't nap, but you still might consider scheduling some time to go back to the resort for swimming. Even the best behaved kids can have meltdowns at Disney.

I agree with what the PPs are saying...don't count on your phone for pix. For your DD's first trip, you want good photos, and I don't worry that your phone won't give you that. And definitely get a memory card before you go. I had to buy one on my last trip (Dec) and a 2GB card was $18 + tax.

Jeans will make you absolutely miserable. I would invest a very small part of your $1000 spending $ in some clothes that are cooler and will make you comfortable. Happy mommy = happy trip.

I think your touring plan is doable, but for MK please try to get there earlier than 10 or 10:30. You'll be able to get soooo much more done, especially in Fantasyland. I've found that if we get to MK at RD, we can get through all of Fantasyland by 10:30, and we go during busier times. You mentioned that you were going to try and do Dumbo (which was/is my DD's fave...she was 3 1/2 the first time she went). There are a few other rides just like Dumbo if you want to try those out before (or, if she loves Dumbo, do them after). Triceratop Spin in AK and Aladdin's Magic Carpet in MK. Dumbo will have the longest lines of the 3, so if she doesn't like the other 2, no point wasting your time waiting in line for Dumbo.

Have a great time!! Your DD is at the perfect age for the princesses....My personal all time favorite moment is the first time my DD saw Sleeping Beauty. I will never forget it. She was 3 1/2 and the look on her face was worth every cent that we spent on that trip!!

Here's my 2 cents worth..You will roast in jeans; it's not just the heat ( between 85-90), but you have to factor in the humidity. Sundresses are a great option.cool and comfortable, and probably on sale. Are you taking a stroller? You have some very long days planned and that entails a lot of walking; WDW is very tiring, even for kids who don't usually nap. You might want to consider a midday break at least a couple of times.
Wow..a kid who sleeps until 10 in the morning.now if only she went to bed earlier:goodvibes
Have a great trip!

I'm actually VERY worried about that late akershus reservation but honestly more for my own crankiness! Jayla Is actually a trooper and could remain a perfect angel on very little sleep, I CAN'T but the princess dinner was her only request and I searched for weeks anyy opening I could find. I actually had to change days just to grab that one so I must find a way for it to work. As for m.kingdom Halloween party with the early BBB. I could deff. See that being a problem but again that was the only boutique time available so is it possible to squeeze in a nap that day?

A nap back at the resort is possible, but I would figure that the transportation time (both walking and bus) might be about 2 hours for the round-trip. So in the early afternoon, you can calculate if you have enough time to make it worthwhile.

As soon as your BBB appointment is over, I would head to Fantasyland to get Peter Pan Fast Passes and to see how long the line is for Dumbo (the line probably won't get any shorter the rest of the day). Save Monsters Inc for later. You can do it anytime with a minimal wait, and Tomorrowland is very close to Fantasyland. It's a Small World can also be done later, and when you say "storytime" do you mean Storytime with Belle? I think it has been discontinued.

If you don't get everything done in MK on this day, you have your next day there too, so that's good. And if you are able to get up early on that last day, you could hit Dumbo and a couple of other things right at park opening before going to your 11:00 ADR at the Grand Floridian.

On your Hollywood Studios day, head for Toy Story Mania immediately to see if you can get Fast Passes. They may well be gone by the time you get there, and if so, you will probably face long Standy Line waits for that attraction.

Your Animal Kingdom day is the one day that I think you could get a late start and be OK. You should be able to fit both the Lion King and Nemo shows in, as well as the afternoon parade. Check their show schedules at http://wdwent.com/

As far as your arrival day, I think by doing the taxi and International Gateway entrance, 3 hours should be enough time.....IF the plane is on time. But if the plane is late by 45 minutes or more, then I think it will be a problem.

Sounds to me like you are well prepared and ready to be flexible (because nothing ever works out exactly the way as planned, but the more well-informed you are, the easier it is to make spur-of-the-moment decisions on the best ways to modify the "plan").

Hi, the only comment I have is on your last day. Are you taking ME to the airport or do you have a car? ME will pick you up for your flight 3 hours in advance so I wasn't sure if your flight is at 3:45 or later. Just watch your time you maybe calling that 1900 Park Fare close.

Good luck.

As far as the jeans go...please don't when you look back at your pictures all you will think about is why oh why did I were jeans. Speaking of pictures what I did was used my small Sony digital camera to take pictures then at night then I downloaded the pictures to my iPad with an adapter I picked up on eBay you could do the same with you iPhone. I know you don't have time for eBay but do you have an apple store near you? Then you can update your Facebook pictures that night from your room.

For what it's worth from my own experience, my DS didn't really nap much at home once he reached 2 & is a night owl too, but he does nap at WDW (even now at 4 1/2 he needs at least a rest and still naps sometimes). The experience can be very overwhelming & exhausting for preschool set, even if they are typically troopers at home. Their schedule gets all fouled up & they are inundated with sensory stimulation/overload everywhere they go, so planning to go all day without a break can often times be too much for them and be cumulatively exhausting for them as the trip goes on.

A rest during the day is good insurance that nobody melts down and also ensures that everyone isn't too tired to enjoy the evening activities. We have always gone to a park in the a.m. (not rope drop...more like catching the bus at 9 or 9:30) and stay until about 2:00. Then we go back to our resort to chill out for at least three hours and head back out at dinner time for our evening activities. Works well for our little guy as it keeps more with his normal schedule and also prevents him from running out of steam before the day is through (even though he's a park veteran, he still gets wiped out).

If you can't rearrange your schedule for a break during the afternoon hours, I'd recommend at least bringing a comfortable stroller from home (most airlines allow you to check baby/child equipment for free) for your daughter to rest/nap in during the afternoon. If you don't, I think you're going to find that the busy schedule will backfire on you all.

Have a great trip!

Personally, I think you are going to be miserable in jeans. Do you have any capris? If so I would definitely plan on wearing them. The 90 temps in Florida are not like other places. You have 90 degrees plus unimaginable humidity. Even when the sun isn't out it is still extremely humid this time of year. Maybe you will luck out, but it is doubtful.

Anything is doable. If things aren't working out, then adjust your plan on the fly. It aint a big deal. Relax and enjoy, you'll have a great time.

Relax.

And forget the jeans - it is still 90 in the shade here everyday. Yesterday (Sat) the heat index was 105 degrees. You want to be comfortable so you can enjoy your vacation. Please please re-think the jeans. Nobody cares what you look like, really. It is all about comfort and staying cool. I promise no matter what you look like, there are at least 2000 people at the park that look worse than you.

Make sure you have your whole camera thing straight, no matter what you decide. You will want tons of pics, I mean tons. The look on your daughter's face will be priceless about 250 times a day, and you will want a pic of every one of them.

I hope you have a great trip!

Thanx to all of you!! I did stop by target & grab a memory card (marked down from 30 to $9) so I'm glad I did! && grabbed a couple pairs of shorts along with the Minnie/Mickey Halloween shirt I read about on here : ) I am using ME and they pick us up Saturday at 3:45 to head to the airport and I will try my best to fit in relax times at the hotel especially since I plan on waking her before her normal wake up time everyday. I am flexible with my plans and do expect to go back in a couple years for the bigger rides so I don't need to see everything but I will be upset if I miss something so I have high hopes. This will probly be my last post since ill be busy losing my mind tomorrow making sure I have everything I need but thank you again for all of your help. I love this board you guys are the best!

Please, please don't wear jeans. 90's in CT is NOTHING like the 90's in FL. The humidity this time of year is extreme. Nobody wears jeans in FL in the hottest months of the year. Within an hour of your arrival, those jeans are going to be soaked through with sweat, and even more uncomfortable.

You're setting yourself up for heat exhaustion. After all of this planning and anticipation, do you really want to end up being nauseous and dizzy and miserable?

Trust me, not one single person you come across will care what your legs look like in shorts. No one will even be looking at your legs. You'll be so excited once you're in WDW that you'll forget you ever worried about it. If you wear jeans, though, all you'll be able to think about is how hot and uncomfortable you are.

If you simply can't bear to be seen in shorts, how about some lightweight cotton skirts?
