I CHEATED this week!!!

Forgive me, Father, for I have sinned...

The FIRST TIME since I started this thing in January!!! Waaaaa!!

We had a table set up in Kroger for Seniors Day. Our Chef was demonstrating Healthy Down Home Cooking... can you believe that?... and was teaching the seniors how to make Chicken Creole the healthy way. While she did this we passed out recipe booklets and pamphlets about our community.

Well, right next to us they set up another table. This one is a free table featuring coffee and frosted CARROT CAKE MUFFINS!!

Yikes!! :earseek:

This table was unmanned and everyone was just coming up and taking what they wanted. A woman took a look at the wares, shook her head and told me "Stay strong, honey, stay strong."

And strong I was... UNTIL....

When breakfast time was over, the workers came to take down the table and left the remaining muffins on MY TABLE! By now I'm weak.... and yes, I ate one.

I'm soooo bad!

I spent the rest of the day trying to make sense of the fact that the carrots were vegetables and the cake part had fiber... :p

Well that was Wednesday and I walked 2 miles Thursday and 2 1/2 miles yesterday! I've been squeaky clean on my eating hoping that I can making up for my transgression...

Okay, now I feel better. :teeth:

forget about it
back on program now and exercising
don't beat yourself up we all have little cheats or rewards now and again

Robin, you have been so good an such an inspiration, one carrot cake muffin will not hurt you. :cake:
You did the right thing by getting your exercise in.
Just behave yourself from now on!!!:teeth:
 
Robin - I think you are doing so well with your program. The occasional stray shouldn't be a problem for you because I know you're determined to get to goal. So let's just keep on keeping on! ::yes::

Oh that just killed me! You ate ONE, just one. I always go back to this but in my "eating" days, I would have cleared the table.

I hope it helped to confess b/c that's what we're here for.

I'm sure it will be a distant memory to you and your body soon. Now you know you can recover from digressions like that. Not many of us could have survived such a temptation!
 
hey -- you're human just like me ;)

i'm impressed that is your first since JANUARY!! wowzer! that is something to be very very proud off. i live week to week and lately haven't made it through a weekend to be proud of since the holidays! :eek:

i second the fact that is over and done with. your attitude shows you are back on track -- no more beating on youself!

You know what my reaction was, Kath? I wanted MORE!!! I got that urge to eat more and more sweet things that I hadn't had in forEVER! Not fun!

I went home and made a Beachgirl's Pumpkin cheesecake! It's my only endulgence now!

Yep, it was my first stray for that reason... I know that I have a serious addiction to sugar so I can't dip at all, it's like an alcoholic that falls off the wagon.

I've worked hard to make sure that I don't have any temptations in my home but now that I'm working the temptations are way more often. It was SO easy when I was in control of the food in my world!
 
I think you deserve a medal for having it be your first "cheat" since January!! I totally relate to the whole "being like an alcoholic" thing. I feel the same way.
