Okay I admit it - I desperately need HELP!!

I have just read the thread about being banned for the EP2 seat. What do I do?

Last night, in a friends room, Karo showed up and started giving out the EP2 seat. He did say he had gotten the pin first, then started getting the seats, and gave me one too. (I have no idea, and will not speculate, about the method Karo used in getting these. For any wondering, while I have heard of him, that was my first time of meeting him.)

Now I admit I thought nothing of it as we all know VMK has many bugs (no, who said?). So anyway, what with VMK crashing, it was only at opening this morning that I got to put it down and see what I had received. Many friends stopping by were exclaiming over my good fortune and naturally wondering how I had received it.

So, after reading all those posts, and a widely varying opinion on what to do and who will get in trouble, etc.

WHAT DO I DO WITH THE THING??

Does anyone really know? Can anyone, (oh Brain my friend) or someone else find out for me? After I had put it down, and gotten credits I had to leave for the day, and am only now getting ready to come back on to VMK. BOY AM I GLAD I CHOSE TO READ DIS BEFORE LOGGING ON TO VMK I SEE!!

I certainly am more than willing to do whatever to not get banned! But not sure if selling it is good enough (or is even accepting the 50 credits considered ban-worthy)? Do I put it into my inventory to allow VMK to take it away?

Please help! I most especially do not want the DIS Kids Teleporter Network to suffer, because Duck could be banned. I have some new kids teleporters awaiting placement too. Nor do I want my DS to not be able to play because of me receiving apparently "stolen goods". Heck, I don't want to be banned for not knowing I should have turned the offer down.

If ouwant to know if you're banned first, go to contact us and select I think I'm banned. If it says your banned, ti will ask if you think it was a fair ban.

First if it is bothering you as much as we cn read here i would say sell it immediatly(sp) second i myself ( and this is me ) would write vmk after selling it to tell vmk about the "free" gift and explain to them what you have done to make it right.( but i would also explain why you were so worried about it ) I think you will find that vmk will not ban the people who accepted these chairs but can only fairly ban the people who have "Hacked" them. I think the only fair thing they can do to peole in your position is give you a warning and take the chair back. again only my opinion

I'd have to make a point on that. The rumor of us changing the URL(of a website I still don't know, since the game doesn't link you anywhere in where you can get unlimited codes) that has been spread and would need a stop. What happened to me was that I played the game 1 time. Got pin code under pin screen. Played it again, got 30 credits, under pin screen. Played it even once more, got yeti car under pin screen. Did several other attempts to get the room, but I got stuck getting cars. So what I did was play the game a lot, write down the codes and enter them. When I read around the forums, I saw people were just getting pins and I started to worry. So I said, why am I getting the cars and nobody else is getting them? So I started speaking with my friends and found out schmoofy was having the same bug with his game, so we both went off giving away cars to every player we met, thinking having them was unfair, because why should we have them and other players not?. What VMK punished us about, I think, was about the distribution of the seats and not other thing, though they called me a "hacker" and a person who "ignored the VMK Values". Personally, if they were to consider me a hacker, they would need to ask what was happening first, but no staff even attempted to contact me, and I think there's still something fishy about the ban, because according to what I was told from a certain staff member which I won't name, hacking and scripting bans are permanent (aka, until 2015) and I only got banned for 30 days. VMK Banned me under the wrong rule and for a problem that was from them and not from me. Now I would like to wonder what bugs the game had that it was released 3 days later than what it was expected.

Many ppl said that they just sold it for the 50 credit and did just fine ! So dont worry ah'cha ah 'bout a thang ! 'Cause every little thing gonna be a'right

Very good points indeed Karo, thanks for stating what happened, and yes, the question again,about vmk bugs.

I did see a few of your comments last night, (I had been in other windows for most of your being in the room) but got most of your info from the room owner (so as not to name names, but I know you know who it was), and owner did then in fact repeat correctly what you had said.

It does sound like you hit a bug, IMHO.

I know we had not met, so I do also want to thank you for your most generous thought to pass out the seats, even to me, as I too am one of the ones very anxiously awaiting the room itself. I so love snow and cold. (Sorry I had not put a thank you in the RAOK thread to you, I honestly did not know you were a DIS member too.)

well it is kinda bad for karo bc when vmk gives u a ban u are not elligible to become a community leader also if u are a community leader i am pretty sure u lose that roll and maybe not get it back unless it is unfair (i no the community leader part bc my sister is one and she hot ban for 2 hours but it was unfair bc the dude who reported her made up stuff about it, and in a way he was harrassing players. so she still remained a community leader and kept her roll if u do not know her on vmk she is cl_polybabe and on the dis she is polysisterchick). so if u were wrongly accused karo which i think u were bc it was a bug then u should be able to keep your roll of a community leader. if u explain to them wut happened karo im sure they will understand that it was a bug. ty for reading my message of wut i had to say and i hope karo will keep his roll bc he was my favorite CL.

Anyway, I'm glad this nonsense is cleared up for me. I had been away from vmk and dis for a few days b/c of another new job (did anyone miss me?) and played for the first time last night. Some girl in a trade room traded me the seat for something rare, I don't recall what. She said "my friend got the wrong code and it was for this instead of pin". I was a little suspicious, I had not played Everest yet and did not know if you could win them, but I had only heard of pins and not seen these chairs all day (this happened last night about 11pm EST). But I traded anyway and after I put it in my room, a friend I had just met last night came in and said I should probably get rid of it. He was not really clear on what the deal was either. Then CDNMickey (thank god I told her to come in!) walked in and said "Sell it! Sell it now!" I trust her so I did, and came here to get the whole story today b/c I had to leave vmk then, and I did not get on DIS last night. I did write to them explaining my story, and said it's unfair to ban people that have them from trades or gifts who are innocent. (Not that Karo is not innocent, I totally believe what you said about a bug...bug in something vmk-related? NO!!! )

Anyway I am sorry for your ban, it is stupid if the code was an accident, I'm sure everyone else would have done the same ("Whee! I got this by accident! Cool!") and it was nice of you to give them out. I'm glad you did not get a lifetime ban, and I hope you bother the black hole until they release your ban. If not, we will see you in 30 days and I really REALLY hope you are still a CL!!!
