I bought a pair of Beach CROCS and tried them out this weekend(just walking around CBR) and I got two nasty blisters on the top of each foot. :confused3 So I plan on using moleskin for this weekend(our WDW trip). What gives? :guilty:

I knew those things were evil :rotfl2:

I have friends with daughters ages 4 & 6. Grandma had bought the girls Crocs and the little one showed me the owie on her foot and told me they had given her "splinters". :rotfl: She's too cute!!

My wife found them uncomfortable and my oldest daughter got terrible blisters from them so the ones at our household went in the trash.

Mine don't touch any part of my foot but the bottom. Maybe yours are too small, or maybe your feet are just too high for them. :confused3 "Too high" probably isn't the right term. I mean that maybe the top of your foot is further from the bottom of your foot than the model they fit the shoes for. I don't know what the technical word for that is. I do know that it prevents me from buying most sandles for my 2 year old, though.

They are not too small. I tried the 8-9 and they fell off my feet. I also order a pair of Caymens size 7 and they fit the same way. When I walk the top rubs the top of my feet. I've had other pairs of sandles before that touch the top of my feet and they never gave me a blister. :confused3

Mine gave me an awful blister too. I got the Nile style, that looks like sandels. The part where the back strap is connected to the shoe rubbed against my foot. It sucks because the shoe itself is so comfy.

You just look at those ugly things and know how bad they are for your feet. Sorry about the blisters!

I have the worst luck with sandles giving me blisters! I knew I wouldn't be able to wear them.

I bought Chaco's, mine were $75 and guess what, they were fine around town and awful blisters at WDW. The guy was raving about them when we checked out at REI. DD's were fine of course :confused3 I had to buy a pair of Reef flip flops the big thick ones at CityWalk.....I just went AAAHHHH when I put my feet in those.

Same thing happened to me, so I took off the strap and the connectors. The spot where the connectors was still rubs against my foot, so I only use the Niles when I'm in the backyard cleaning out the pool. I should have learned by now that every time people start raving about how wonderful something is, it won't work for me!

I have to tell you, I proobably have the worst feet int he world, and they work wonders for me!!!

Unuusal to get a blister on the top of your foot. Maybe the combo of a sort of wide strap(feet sweat, blister starts) and perhaps you have a "high" instep makes them the worng shoe for you.

I got bad blisters the first time I wore my Crocs at WDW. Same place, top of my foot. Don't know why we are so lucky. I have worn them with socks since, no problems. I know it looks dorky, but I've got to be comfy!

I had the same thing. I bought all kinds of "funky" low-cut socks, in colours matching my clothes, and now I always wear my funky socks with my Crocs!
Works just fine for me...

My friend bought them for herself and two kids. They all got blisters. She tossed them out. I was very thankful for that as she was going to take them to the beach with us and I didn't want to be seen near those ugly shoes! LOL!

OMG! I cannot believe this post got ressurected after all this time. I posted it in 2005! :lmao:

I now own like 10-12 pairs of CROCS. I no longer get blisters. Breaking in a near pair might leave me with a hot spot, but now I know and don't let it get all the way to blister. I don't wear socks with crocs, unless it's cold and I'm wearing jeans. No more problems! Must just be the shape of my feet, that they are so close to the tops of the shoes. My DH's fit on him WAY bigger, but if I put on a bigger croc they fall off. Guess it's just some of us have weird feet.

I LOVE my CROCS. I tell everyone I see how wonderful they are! I wore my wedge heels(3in) on Sunday and we had to make a couple stops on the way home(mall and walmart) by the time we got home I was limping from my heels! Walking without shoes was so painful still. I put on my crocs and didn't feel a thing! :cheer2:

My DH and boys all have them. My dad, brother and brother in law got some and my DM borrowed a pair and has yet to return them. :rotfl:

BTW - I still have my 2 oringinal pairs from 2005. They are my old faithfuls. When we're at WDW and I go a couple days wearing a newer pair, I then put on my old faithfuls and it's like, "aahh" SO comfy!

They last FOREVER!

My boys got theirs a year ago and they are still intact!

They also have the georgie boots for playing outside! They get SO filthy! I throw them in the washer with some bleach and they come out nice and clean! So much easier than sneakers!

I never look at the dates of the posts
It's funny that this thread showed up again!

I never tried them because they are the ugliest things in the world. I also hate when people wear them and they dont match their outfits.... UGH

Many people wear shoes that don't match their outfits, not only the Crocs-wearing people.:confused3

Became a CROC lover, and now I am back to "only wear them for a few hours" because they make my KNESS hurt!:confused3 When I wear them, my feet feel OK, but my knees start to ache, due to the fact they are in a "different position" than when I wear my New Balance! So, I wear them for a few hours but not ALL day!
