Okay, a Strange Question about Magicbands

So, I tried to decorate my magicband and failed miserably! I am wondering if anyone has any knowledge of my following 'solution'. I thought I could just wear a few of my metal cuff type bracelets OVER it, as they fit snugly around the band and hide it. Has anyone tried scanning their band through metal? Or do you think I'll have to remove the metal bracelet each time I scan? ...Help!

Why even wear the magic band, just take it out when you need it. I kept my sons in my pocket our entire last trip except for when we needed to scan it for park admission.

You can always unscrew the disk/puck from the bracelet and keep it in your pocket. DH does that.

We're local and have AP. I have a "keeper" for the Magic Band disk and wear it on a lanyard. I find the plastic band to be too hot to wear.

Have you tried to undo the decorating? I'm not sure what you did but hand sanitizer is great at removing a lot of things (pen, marker, stickers).

Ha! I hadn't even thought to 'undecorate' it! Sheesh. I was so dismayed at my lack of artistic ability, that never crossed my mind! I will try that... and if THAT fails, then I will take the suggestion of either keeping it in my bag or dismantling it and using just the puck. ALL good ideas... thank you!!

Silly as it may sound, I really do like wearing them. My "home" park is Disneyland, but I've been to Disney World twice before. (Going to WDW again in a week since, ya know, Disneyland isn't an option, and I need some Disney!) I always loved the feeling of the bracelet on my wrist doing EVERYTHING for me, it is a magical convenience that doesn't exist in Disneyland. *Hopefully* I can make it wearable, but if not, I'm thankful for the alternative suggestions!

That's not gonna work.
You can do a few things...
-wear it anyways.
-don't wear it and just take it out when you need it.
-take the puck out and get a magic keeper or what i did was buy a holder on Etsy that fits on my fitbit so I don't have to wear something on both wrists.

Also, if you really want a magic band and the one you tried to “magically enhance” is ruined, you can always just buy another one. Maybe a cute one that you won’t want to hide. It can be your souvenir for the trip!

We did this with one set of our magic bands.... super cute.
I also have a puck holder that goes on my watch... I love that one.
