Okay 80's Girls...Here's one for us!

- You owned a set of Potato Head kids

-"You got it dude!"

-You wanted to go to the underground land of the "Little Monsters"

-Stephen Kings "It" was the SCARIEST tv movie ever made

-You can sing the Perfect Strangers theme

I was in the middle of the 70's and 80's. I have this sudden urge to put my hair up in a side ponytail!!! I think I will try it tomorrow just for the heck of it. I am currently listening to the 80's on live365.com!

We never had the MASH game here, unless I was too old for it. For me, MASH was the TV show.

Those are too funny and brought back a ton of memories. i was 8 when the 80's rolled around and my husband was 13. We always talk about the things we grew up with.
I am sad to say that i am true child of the 80's. I have burned "we are the world" on my Ipod. I have kept all my colored Reebok high tops just in case they come back in style. I used a pair to mow my grass with and then my husband made me bury that pair, which i did and i left a note in it. Istill have all my Camp Beverly HIlls and Benetton clothing. Of course i don't wear it, but my kids may have an 80's day at school. I have all my plastic bangle bracelts and my pop Swatch. I went to see Bon Jovi and Skid Row in concert in 88 and saw Club MTV Live with Paula Abdul, MIlli Vanilla, Mc Hammer, TOn Loc and Vanilla Ice. We just celebrated my daughter's birthday party at a roller rink. Hadn't been on one in over 20 years when i used to wear my Levi Cords with a comb in my back pocket. Those were the good ol days!!

::yes:: :scared1: :faint:

I am still bothered by this movie.

That list was GREAT! The other day, I can't remember where we were, but I actually found one of those clips for the t-shirt! I told my DFi about using them when I was a kid to do the whole knot thing and he just kind of looked at me like I had 10 heads.

LA Gear sneakers are actually back in the stores, too! I remember how crazy I was for them.

Gosh, that brough back some great (and some scary) memories!!

(Regarding IT) Me too! Sometimes when I shower, I have to stare at the drain just in case a spooky clown starts climbing up it. :clown:

I miss Fraggle Rock. I miss the big talking pile of leaves and trash. And the Dozers. I miss the Pound Puppies, I think I still have them in my attic somewhere (they left the pound only to be stored in an attic :) ). I miss Zach and was so mad when Kelly and AC would get together. Remember the episode where Jesse was doing caffeine pills? Too funny. I miss the 80's movies (Sixteen Candles, Can't Buy Me Love) and I miss cheesy, synthesized music. And I ran, I ran so far away.....

Oh my gosh...that is my favorite episode! When the three girls form that group "Hot Sundae" I love that cheezy video they make in the workout room.

"Put your mind to it, go for it, get down and break a sweat...Rock and Roll you ain't seen nothing yet..."

My husband would kill me for telling you all this, but he knows the whole dance to that song!!! :rotfl2:

Brought back some great memories!! I think I probably have some slap bracelets hanging around my parents' house somewhere! :rotfl:

And this may sound horribly dorky... but I am still known to break out the Fresh Prince rap now and then!

Fraggle Rock scared me... something about them creeped me out but I couldn't stop watching. I think it came on after something else and I just didn't change the channel

And I'm a total idiot because we used to play MASH ALLLLLL the time but I never knew it stood for "mansion apartment shelter house" :bitelip:

I'm gonna leave you all with another memory....

"I'm so excited! .... I'm so excited!!! I'm..... so..... SCARED!"

:rotfl2:

Just a note for the 80's kids who might have missed it, Fraggle Rock Season One is out on DVD now. :sunny:

And I just noticed that this earned me a tag!!! Thanks tag fairy!

My DH is normal, really...we are just total pop culture buffs, and we know all of that obscure stuff! We even have that song downloaded for our listening/dancing pleasure!

I used to have a rollerskating routine to the "Jem" theme song. I used to preform it on my backporch with my big side ponytails, puff paint shirts, and neon layed socks.
