I'm 75% Irish. I have the green eyes and round freckle face with fair skin. My first name is Casey and my maiden name started with Mc. So, when people see me they definitely know that I am Irish. My kids don't look so Irish though, they are 50% Irish, but seemed to get the Italian genes from dh's side of the family. That's ok, they'll probably grow up to be good drinkers - just kidding !
My grandmother is 100% Irish so that makes me 25%. I'm a 4 way mix of Irish, Dutch, Russian and Polish. All my grandparents were born overseas came to the US as children.
25% Scotch-Irish, 25% Irish, my ancesters from county Antrim.
throw in a little german and english and that's me...
but the best thing is a was born on St Patricks Day.. so I feel especialy Irish.
I also have a love for Guinness and no other beer...
that says it all!

grandfather's parents were both born in ireland and immigrated. so tech. i am (from that portion of the family) only 3rd generation u.s. born!
at some point i need to research an antique desk i have. apparantly it was one of the few possessions gr. grandmother insisted she bring with her from "home".
both i and ds def. favor the irish blood. we are both redheads with very fair skin-in fact, if ds were to dress in green we could market him as a leprichan!
My Mom's name was "O'Hara", and I look like her...and SPD was her favorite holiday. I guess I am only 1/4 Irish.....but Mom had red hair, fair skin, freckles and loved to laugh and have fun. I sure do miss her.
