OK...who really likes the HRH??

I've been following these threads... as we will be first time visitors to Universal/IOA this June.We have two kids 12 and 14 and we chose HRH based on its theme.All three Universal resorts were fairly close in price( at least the day i booked). I'm second guessing myself on HRH...someone talk me into not changing this reservation!

We have stayed at both HRH and PBH. My boys love the HRH. We have stayed there twice; the last time they were 12 and 9. We are heading back this June and they both requested HRH. This time they are 19 and 16.

I have teens (17 & 15) and am staying at the Hard Rock the end of this month. It came highly recommended for those with teens. My kids are really looking forward to it.

My family and I love the Hard Rock! Especially my kids (DD 10, DD 9, DSS 19). They are a bummed to hear instead of the HR this year we are going with PBH. I wanted to try something new, especially since this may be my last year as platinum, may as well get my first and most likely last upgrade to a Portofino Suite.

The Hard Rock was a great place. We stayed Deluxe Club. The room was big and beautiful, the beds were comfy, and the staff was great. Kids loved the pool and Emack and Bolios. I wouldn't second guess yourself, all the resorts are beautiful.

Don't second guess......our family loves the Hard Rock.

The kids are asking to go back there now. Literally. They want to go now. We stayed ther 10/06, 4/07 and 6/08.

My kids are 13(14 on the 23rd) 9 and 7.

The staff is great, the Hotel is SO cool and the closeness to the parks cannot be beat!

No worries - you will love it!

I like it. I wouldn't say I love it, but I do really like it. It's a great property and the fact that it's attached to the Universal theme parks I feel its a good match.

Thanks everyone for the replies!!! We take very few vacations and we really try to focus on whatever would make my kids happy.They're girls and not too particular about things.I'm so type A and probably over analyze...WOOOHOO...i love family vacations!!

OP - just take a quick peek at my trip repots as well. Do not worry about the small issues I had, we have always had a great vacation!!

We LOVE the HRH. It's our favorite and we've stayed at all 3 more than once. Our kids are 12 and almost 9.
It's such a cool hotel, awesome pool with slide, short walk to parks. Don't stress that you're making the wrong decision. This should def. get you "Mom of the Year Award" from your kids!!!


We're trying to plan another visit over Labor Day weekend but too bad I waited too long. It's available but no discounts, AAA or APH. I'm so bummed. RPR is my 2nd fav. so we'll prob. stay there. Can't stand to pay rack rate for anything..

Don't change anything. Go and have a great time!!

We've stayed at PBH and HRH and prefer HRH. We like how close it is to US and we can easily walk from it. We found the atmosphere much more relaxed than PBH. Never stayed at RPH.

i stayed there for new years and HHN, it's a great resort no complaints
