Ok, who else is ok with the changes?

I have already seen two threads of people upset by the changes so I thought it would be nice to start one with positive comments.
I was surprised by the big change in appearance but mainly just happy the boards are back up!

The colors remind me of Frozen or winter so I like them. The look is different but it's still easy to see threads, hover to see a preview, and I like that more smilies are easy to find.

If it makes things run faster, then great! I don't know the reasons behind the changes but I appreciate all that must be done behind the scenes to keep the boards up & running. Change is always hard but it will be fun to explore the new format.

I kinda like the new look. Change is always difficult on people, takes some time to get used to.

I trust the DIS team's vision and think they're doing a great job. I kind of want to go to the tech support board and post messages of encouragement like, "Hey guys ... keep doing what you're doing and take as long as you need to get the job done right. You are awesome." I mean, this was a MASSIVE undertaking and I can't believe they did the majority of it in <24 hours!

I think it's fine. When the change was announced, and the WebMasters let us know there'd be a thread on the technical board for questions, I went there and viewed it. So I had a general idea what to expect.

And just based on the new postz, I've already changed my scheme so everything is easy to read.

I am glad the boards run faster. To bad the area for the avitar can not crop pictures to fit. It will take time for my eye to adjust to the colors.

I don't have any issues with it. I'll be happy once all the avatars are back, just because it makes it easier to see who is posting in a thread, but I know that's just a glitch to be worked out.

I'm pretty happy with it so far. I'm sure it was a monumental task and it seems like Corey, Alex, Kathy (and others that I'm missing and/or are behind the scenes) did a great job. Change is never easy. I hope everyone gives it a little time before making sweeping judgments.

Really? I find this editor to be slower than I remember.

Email alerts really concern me.... the old version would alert me daily. I don't want my email to be flooded throughout the day. I want to see them all at once like the previous version.

All my RSS are broken.

I honestly don't care. As long as the board still works, the color scheme makes no difference to me. I have much more important things to worry about than tags on a message board.

I like that the board is not down at 4 am EST anymore. I can access it now during my morning treadmill time . Also like the "like" button.

I guess there probably aren't too many folks still around who remember the OLD old format, with replies to OPs listed as 'subtitles' under the original posting, and replies to replies further indented, all on the front page of the forum. Hard to describe- that was a long time ago (1998?)- but when I occasionally see a forum still done in that format, it always makes me think of the OLD DISboards.

The color scheme bothers my eyes, I need it just a little darker. Other than that, it's too new to decide whether I like the new boards or not. They are faster, I did notice that.

So far, so good. Once I figured out where everything was, the transition wasn't too bad.

I like the 'like' button.
