ok whats the story?

on the wishes cruise, I had asked if you can hear the music. I got a reply that said that it is piped in and another said it is not and you could only hear it faintly in the distance. Which one is it? I need to know. I have really been looking forward to this for my kids and I want it to be great.

I think it depends on the boat and the day. Why don't you try calling directly to see what the official answer is.

We went almost a year ago. At that time they were testing systems in the boats, so we did have the music piped in. I've since seen posts of others who have had the music on board as well as others who have not had the music on the boat.

I would echo Beth's comments. We had it piped in on our cruise in December (we had one of the pontoon boats that originates from the Contemporary), but I don't know if they have it on all of the pontoon boats yet. I wonder if you can request a boat that has it piped in. I don't know if anyone has tried that, but it might work.
Having the music definitely added to the experience, but I'm sure you already know that.

I don't know if it makes any difference, but we also originated from the Contemporary.

We originated from Wilderness Lodge and we had music. Our driver said they had contracted with a company to retrofit the boats and made it sound like they were being done one boat at a time. He also made it sound like all the boats were complete or close to all of them

Whew! We just booked a Magical Gathering Voyage and I neverthought to ask if music was piped in...I just assumed...oops!

I was also told a GG coordinator would call me and confirm all the details when I started to ask the CM questions. Anyone else getting a GG coordinator to contact them regarding your magical/gran gathering vacation?

The music is on the MFV boats. We did one last July.

You need to ask for Grand Gatherings when you call regarding your reservations. This was a colossal pain in the neck last year when we were planning as it seemed the GG people didn't really have answers and always put me on hold to ask questions of other CROs. Anything we wanted to do as a group, though had to go through GG. Hope that helps.
