At Disneyland and California Adventure??

I'll have Zach(9) with me so I think Space Mountain and California Screaming will be definitely out (el wimpo child) We had to use the chicken exit at DLP Space Mountain cos he suddenly needed the loo(as if!) He loved Big Thunder Mountain but I guess that's closed for a while and I'm not sure if I'd want to go on it now anyway.
I'm going to spend 1 day at each of these and 1 day at Universal Hollwood so have been ride planning with the help of the Unofficial Guide. So far we have got to do Splash mountain, Indiana Jones, Star Tours, possibly Peter Pan(he may have outgrown tht one). Any others??

We're going just before Easter -Arrive there 04/04/04(cool date?) and we're there for my Birthday!!!! I hear a character dining exp. calling my name!!!

So has anyone any recommendations on rides and character dining?

Also when is Spring Break in the US as our Easter Holidays will just be starting then so need to know which park touring plan to use??

Sorry about this but just have sooo many questions and don't know where to start.

Both the breakfast and dinner character dining have excellant food. IMHO, going for the dinner is a great way to end a day at DL......:p

Definitely check out www.mousesavers.com before you go, and also Disneyland's direct site is a great planning source.
As far as Character meals go, we have only been to Goofy's Kitchen at dinner time and loved it. I have read many postings about Story Teller's breakfast and it sounds great. One thing I would check out is the daily birthday party held in Disneyland. You can get info about it on Disney's site, and it looks like a lot of fun. If I were you, I would have a special meal at Blue Bayou. Definitely lunch as the prices are much more reasonable then. I hope your trip is great!

You definitely have to do Soaring Over California. Make sure you get a Fast Pass as soon as you get there because the line builds quickly, and sometimes the return for the Fast Pass is hours away. It is not to miss, and I think your son will be OK.

You might want to rethink Indiana Jones, ride is pretty rough & I think could be scary for some.

I loved soarin' - its not to be missed

My 8 year old's favorite is Matterhorn, 9 year old; Grizzly River Run & 6 year old - California Screamin
:sunny:

I would think a kid that age would love Autopia. I'm guessing he's old enough to drive with you in the same car. Just be sure to get an early FastPass - there's nothing worse than standing in line here forever breathing exhaust fumes in the middle of the day.

Also, when you get tired of walking around and your kid still has lots of energy, Tom Sawyers Island is great. Kids of all ages love running around through the many caves. And you can plop down in the shade somewhere until he comes crawling back exhausted.

The Plaza Inn breakfast at Disneyland has Pooh characters, but your son might be too old for that. At Ariel's Grotto, at DCA, in addition to Ariel sitting out front, other characters go around the table. Goofy, Pluto, Chip, and Dale are usually here. Be sure to make a PS is you do this one. The Disneyland Hotel has varying characters at all meals. Goofy, Max, and Hook are characters I've seen there that he might enjoy. You can take the monorail from Disneyland to the far end of Downtown Disney, which is very close to the Disneyland Hotel. The Paradise Pier Hotel also has a character meal (I think breakfast) that has (I'm pretty sure) Micky and Minnie as well as Pluto, Goofy, and sometimes Max.
