part of this is my own fault since I have had to "modify " it so many times but when I called today to request a particular room, guess what , the last time they were supposed to change it for our new ( later) arrival date, they didn't! The CM said good thing I called since I would have totally lost my ressie since I wouldn't have shown up on the 6th ( new date the 9th). so I am wondering ( new thing to worry about ) what would happen if you got there and found out your ressie was "misplaced", what would they do? if Pop Century is totally booked what would they do with you? has this ever happened to anyone else? now I am wondering if should spend yet another long distance call to check on them all again. the joke of course being the call to change the dates originally took 2 calls due to disconnect, long waits, all those LD charges for nothing...M Eisner must have stock in every long distance carrier known to man...

You should always confirm ALL reservations 2 days before you leave. That way when you arrive there is no dissappointments.
Also print out all confirmations to take with you. That way you have proof.

I am guessing you mean print them out if you make them on line but we did not get the hard copy a few times when we modified them ( like the one date change)on the phone...the problem being we won't be home 2 days before we get to wdw plus if it is messed up, you still won't have anything to "prove it" since you won't get a hard copy that quickly. another ress we have for Feb. they also couldn't find even though we had the confirm. number.( finally did under a different ressie number no one ever gave us!) so I don't think it woud be far fetched to think this could happen at check in also.

If you have proof of your reservation at check in I am sure that Disney would put you in another resort if your resort was full.

It is always a good idea to request paperwork from WDW so that you have a paper trail of information in the event of problems.

I wouldn't worry if you have your paperwork. If you don't have it why not call and have them fax it to you?

It is my belief that, if you have written confirmation, it is not mandatory to reconfirm over the phone. With a writtenh confirmnation it is unreasonable to have to reconfirm over the pheone too, because there is no 800 number.

I would go so far as to Iif I had them) bring phone bills and ask for some extra goodies to make up for that.

If I haven't gotten anything by the time we leave I think I will call and make sure they have sent out a ressie confirmation since if there is a problem I could have my family at home fax it . I think it has taken longer than a week for me to get the confirmations before and we leave next Sunday so with the holiday it may not get here if they sent one. That is kind of nutty to have to make so many long distance calls and I am always afraid the more they "check" things the easier it is for someone to hit a wrong key and oops they're gone!

When ever I have to Modify my reservations I always request a new paper copy be mailed to me ASAP, that way I always have the information and can verify what I have requested. This may help in the future...

Have a GREAT TRIP,:earsboy:

I would guess that if they misplace the reservation and you have a hard copy from Disney you are fine. Especially, since you usually have to prepay for one night.

*Leaving for the world in 2 days! :bounce:

Sometimes you have to be "firm" and you have to actually request a new "hard copy" or "written form" be mailed when you modify or change a reservation. Not all CM's do it - don't know why but I always insist and if I don't get the modified hard copy within a few days I call back and request again. A pain and it costs a phone call but I am one of those who likes her paper. It has helped on more than one occasion to have that "yellow copy" or at least it used to be yellow, at checkin.

I hope all works out for you!

i'm the same way and will just worry so i'll break open my piggie bank (:) ) and call
Thanks
