Ok - What do I do next, I am down to 36 days?

I am down to 36 or so days until our very first trip to WDW! We are flying in to stay at the WL. What types of things should I have done / ready / on my list to do / ordered / reserved by now? It is me, DH, and our 8yo dd.

So far I have:
Booked/paid for our flights
Booked our town car to get us to/from the airport
Booked/paid for our WL room and the 7 for 5 passes
Made Mousekeeping envelopes
2 driver tip envelopes ready
singles/fives for skycaps, bell hops
Made PS's for CRT, Chef Mickeys, and HDDR
Made a plan of what days at what parks
Started making a list of rides we would like/not like
Made a list of places to eat that we would like
Gotten some t-shirts and little things for dd to open on the plane/each day
Ordered and recieved some vouchers for breakfast and Q&C


That is all I can think of right now. Thanks for any tips and hints of stuff I am missing!

- time to get your mickey head paint chips and make some tags out of them.
- start notifying teachers/school that you'll be going soon and that you'll remind them again later in the month.
- start browsing the dollar stores for cheap toys/glow sticks for your child.
- make an ID tag/card for your 8 yr old.
- make sure the camera/camcorder is ready. Start buying memory cards/film/video tapes.

What is the name of the color for the paint chips?
I need to go find a thread on making the ID tag for my dd. I remember the discusion, but not what was working best for others. And we need to get more memory for the digital.

I am sure you have already heard this from previous posts but just as a reminder since it is your first time at Disney and you are staying on site, make sure when you check in that you get the official Disney schedule for early entry days. Compare the Park that will be opening early with your schedule. The extra hour of park time is wonderful if you can get up and take advantage of the extra hour. You will be able to knock off one or two of the must do favorite attraction before the park opens up to the off site crowd. You may want to switch one of the days you scheduled to visit a park to be one of the early entry days. Also remember to relax, you are on vacation and if you did forget or leave something at home, hey Disney has lots of stores that you can go to to buy whatever it is that was left behind. Remember to use Fastpass whenever there is a line and enjoy the Park and the smile on your DD face when she see the characters and attractions.

it's time to make your packing list, medication lists etc
get a fannypack/backpack
are you getting a brita water bottle? Time to get that.
Time to think up what you want to get on your grocery stop.

Thank you! I did get some sonic boom ones - but then I didn't know if they were the right green.

I do need to get going on my packing list - that is a biggy. I think we have all the packs we need - but again I need to check.

I would love to see this too! And I am going to go search on what info we are supposed to put on our luggage tags. I remember reading you guys/gals had all kinds of tricks with those!

I love reading this thread, I only have less than 36 days to go also. I'll have to run to Home Depot for my Mickey chips this week. DH thinks that I'm nuts! I love those Mickey paint chips.

I had DH get me some paint chips yesterday. And who said time to relax and enjoy? Are you KIDDING me?!?! LOL! I am ready to start packing - I can't take it anymore!

Lime green is the official color of the DIS boards! Many that post here display a lime green item so (hopefully) other DISers will notice and say "hi".

Home Depot sells Disney brand paints. Their paint chips are in the shape of Mickey. So many DISers get a lime green colored paint chip to display at the parks.

I've just arrived at my 36 day mark too! I love the suggestions to sit back and relax...are you kidding? I'm much too excited to relax! I'm sure I'll start packing any day now just to give me something vacation related to do.

I to am in the 30's and the excitement is just to much! I am starting to worry about all the important stuff I'm sure to forget. I appreciate all the reminders on this board. We also picked up various Mickey paint chips and are going to use them to decorate mousekeeping envelopes and daily money envelopes. I'm concerned about how to pack for the weather. Do you think a couple of pairs of pants will be enough or should we take more? Thanks for all the help!

Suggestions:

1. send stop mail notice to post office
2. buy and set up timers for lights and/or radios in your house or set up house sitters
3. secure ride to the airport
4. arrange for pet care
5. buy traveler's checks and get cash
6. confirm all ressies
7. take out and check all suitcases and carry-on bags; replace if necessary
8. make sure you have enough ziploc bags in all necessary sizes
9. buy toiletries, snacks, socks, undies, etc.
10. smile everyday as you look at your countdown clock!
