Ok... VERY weird...!

I got in today to find a message on my answering machine from "Disney dining help and guest services" (I had never heard of that particular name/ wording before...). Anyway, the message was a woman named Ernestine who said that they were calling to make sure that we were still having Thanksgiving dinner at "the Fort" this year. They left a '407' number, and told me to call back. The thing is, we're not going to Disney for Thanksgiving this year... the last time I was there for Thanksgiving was back in 2004. In fact... we currently don't have any current plans/ dates, ANYTHING for our next trip at all. I called back, and got a man who I explained the situation to. He said he knew Ernestine, and that she was in the same office as him--- but I ended up getting quite a confusing response. When I told him the issue, he said "Ah, yes... I see quite a few ressies here...". When I questioned him as to whether they were ressies from past trips or ressies for trips in the future (which we DIDN'T make, and currently don't have...) he said, "I'm unable to tell you that at this time ma'am..."..."what I will tell you is that I'll forward this problem on to Ernestine, and she will be back into contact with you..."
...WHAT THE?!?!?!? So, anyway- I'm not sure what to think. I guess I'm waiting for a call back from Ernestine-- or, should I call someone else to clarify the situation??

...Maybe my alter ego planned us a nice getaway for the holidays that I don't remember!!!...

I'm thinking it may be a surprise trip. The fact that they couldn't tell you about your ADR's could mean that your DH made them secret. Keep us updated!

If it is a surprise trip, your DH should be really P****D OFF! We have a surprise trip for the kids in 2 weeks and after 6+ months of planning and secrecy, if someone spills the beans I will (insert physical harm here)

If it's a surprise trip, you may want to ask you hubbie. Sure, it may ruin his moment to surprise you, but you'll still be surprised, you'll still love him to death, he'll still get something special tonight but most important, he may have time to call and make sure that the Thanksgiving reservation and any others are still valid!

Imagine if you don't ask, he surprises you and then you find out that all of the ressies were canceled. Oh noes! It's churros for lunch and dinner for you!

Thanks, guys... but, I highly doubt that this is a surprise trip. (Although today IS our 2nd anniversary!)(Didn't get to ask DH yet... waiting patiently for him to get home from work...) But really... nah... I was more thinking that maybe someone else got ahold of my information and made ressies with my name and phone #. Is that possible?

Sounds really bizarre. Was the 407 number a Disney number? Did you try calling disney dining directly?

Is it possible this is some kind of phishing scam? I would not give out any personal info just in case it is not a surprise trip or just a mix up. Yes, please keep us posted.

That was kinda my first thot on it too...sounds odd that they want you to confirm a confirmation....good advice huskies90...dont give out any personal info to them till you do find out.

Maybe you could go on whitepages.com and do a reverse lookup on the number.
