Ok, Valentine's Day

We'll we won't be doing much of anything..
DH will have the boys... DS7 has basketball practice...
I will be w/ DD at her Conference basketball game...

Only one child is doing Valentine's Day cards this year... so I'm not quite sure what to do w/ the rest of the time.. I think while the kids are at school I'll hang streamers on their doorways w/ special notes on the heart shapes... :lovestruc

I guess I'll put the little bug to good use this weekend...

DH and I are going out for dinner on MONDAY night because he will be in CA for Valentine's Day.
Valentine's Day and our anniversary are the only two times pretty much that just the two of us go out to a nice place.

:rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl:

We sooo don't do Valentine's Day.
Once the babies came along, that holiday went straight out the window.

I'll be working at school that day. The fourth graders are making pizza for their party.
We do need to fill out the cards this weekend.

I will have a small celebration during math with my students.

Rebecca

We will have a quite dinner here at home with the kids on V-Day. The kids will get some small things that we can use on our trip this summer. Maybe a shirt, Disney Dollars and one small piece of candy.
Dh and I will celebrate on Saturday. We started this thing with couples a few months ago and we go out to dinner, without the kids, once every other month. So you guess it- Feb is a couple night out month. We decided this time we would go to one couples house and grill out. Everyone brings something to share and we will just a have a fun evening eating, planning a board game and talking.
I can not wait!
S :)

Let's see our traditions are either DH is out of town or we fight. LOL

So I think we will be fighting this year since he'll be home. :rotfl2:

Fantasmic dinner package at hollywood and vine:banana:

First Valentines as a married couple so we tried to make it special

yup we have nothing planned. it's my ds bday the next day so we will probably go out to dinner on friday to celebrate for him.

we used to be all into it and then we had ds and that was the end of that!!! i'll never forget 6 years ago, the day before i had my little man, i said to dh, "so what's up for valentines day?" and he said "i gave you the best present you'll ever get- a baby!!!"

well, he was right!!!!! (as much as i hate to admit it when he's right  )

so it's all about our little man now.

DS16 and I are going to the dentist :lmao:

As for DH...not a clue. We have his 96 yr old uncle staying with us for the last month, and to say it's been stressful is an understatement! So, not sure if we will be able to do anything...seems uncle comes first these days...

Sorry if I sound a little mean, but it's not been fun...

I think we will probably stay home and DH will cook a nice meal for the four of us. We did this last year and it was fun to celebrate with the kids. Although DH and I desparately need a date night.

I'm sure there will be some of that here.. especially is he keeps acting like he knows more than me when DS is sick.. Uh, you have been going to work.. I have been sleeping on the couch.. you have NO say so right now.. (insert grumpy mommy w/ minimal sleep for the past week)

Ok, I feel better.. I thought maybe this year I just wasn't doing enough... I'm making the door way items for the kids, a small amount of candy and cards..

Mickeyteacher...DH and I have talked about this for 2 years now.. going out once a month or every other month...and it seems that the schools always schedule something on the date we pick... last time it as HS orientation... this month.. it's MS orientation.... I think maybe we will sit our next goal for the first week in April which is Spring Break that way the school can't interfere with our night out!

notes4theheart.. have a wonderful time!!! Congrats!!!

PN96---- Since most of the group is in the edcation field, we always do a Saturday evening. Since we all have ids, that is why we only do every other month- it go to much to do every month. Some months we go out to a nice resturant (Melting Pot, Ruth Chris), some months it's just a resturant like (Long Horn, CHili's), and some monthswe go to each other's houses and just cook there. It is a lot of fun.

Make sure you and DH have some couple time.... it is so important.

Notes- I remember the first V-Day. We made it special because we know we would have very few without kids. DS was born before the next V-Day.

I forgot to add, my mom :lovestruc still does V-day gifts for my husband and I. We will celebrate with them on Wednesday night, as my mom has to work on V-Day. I'm sure this year our gifts will be things that we can use on our up-coming trip.

OMG this totally reminded me we found out we were first pregnant with DD on valentines..... funny story. I had broncitis or something and doc wanted to put me on steriods i said okay but i am due for my friend today and we are trying to get pregnant...the doctor ordered a blood test..... friend never came but MLP came 8 months later lol

oh yeah what we are doing.... big fat nothing.... getting back into the swing of work and kids in daycare so can't cook special dinner and no $$ to go out. oh well

Well OH needs to use up his annual leave days before he leave for the new job so he's taken V-day off. We're going to see National Treasure 2 in the afternoon as we have a 2 for 1 coupon, then going to Damons for dinner. I'm planning on baking cupcakes the day before and I really need to get on with making him a card! Had his pressie for a couple weeks.

That's precisely the reason we're celebrating this one so lavishly. :rotfl: My husband jokes that we'll have one or two V-Days to really celebrate so that we have that memory to live on for the next 20 years before we can do it again.

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: I have been pregnant or nursing every wedding anniversary we have had but the first.... so yes they might be words to live by..:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

PS not the upcoming anniversary cause I'll still be nursing but the one after that no chances of pregnancy so :woohoo:  :woohoo:
