When we visit Orlando, we're planning to visit Clearwater, Caladesi Island and Busch Gardens on consecutive days so we've booked a hotel at Clearwater for a night to make it easier on my daughter. What I need to know is, is it OK to leave my hotel for 1 night ? I'm sure I read somewhere Virgin frown upon this, having said that how would they know ??

Thanks

Kev.

If you've paid for the room it's up to you if you use it or not. If you get any heat after the event ( and I can't see why you would) I would say your car broke down and you had to wait it out in Tampa while they fixed it.

I'm sure it was in Virgin's conditions of booking once. Anyway thanks Vernon, that's what my fallback plan was if anything was said.

I've always done this for 2 or more nights. I always tell the hotel in advance so they don't think I've slipped out !
They've never had a problem with it.

The hotels like to know if you are planning to be away so that IF there is a problem (ie, getting no reply for the maid, or a hotel fire) the rescue services do not spend time looking for you.

As above, you paid for the room, it is up to you how you use it.

We had a couple of nights away 18 months ago and nothing was said by the Virgin reps. As you say how would they know anyway.
