I knew this weekend would be bad, dh's and dd's birthdays two days apart and mother's day on top, so yes I ate things that I shouldn't have and didn't exercise at all, but tomorrow is time to start crunches , more walking and eating sensibly again, so get back with the program Olga and go on. OK now I feel better, I got it off my chest!

Olga, I'm proud of you for recommitting yourself to your new healthy eating plan. You are going to be just fine. You are determined, I can tell.

Molly, you are wavering in your resolve? No way, I don't believe it, you are just doing so well. Just hang in there, you can do this, we're going to help you.
 

I have had a weekend that I'm not really proud of also. I'm looking forward to a new day and getting back into my schedule.
 
Can I play too? For the 3rd time, I'm starting induction- and this time I am following the WRITTEN words and menus suggested by the king himself.... Dr. Atkins. It seems I have no common sense when it comes to low carbing it!! :p But, I will try yet agan, because I really want to succeed. ANd, I promise that I will walk every other nite this week. We'll see what happens next week- ok?

On a side note- Thanks Kath for the phone conversation- it helped me understand a lot better- and I will read the Book- page by page... as best I can! ;)

So, to summarize for my own benefit- I , Karen Kabat, do hereby proclaim that I will follow Dr. Atkins rules for induction to the T. I will eat from the suggested menu in his book for a period of 2 (TWO) weeks. I do also swear, that I will walk, at least 1 mile on Monday, Wednesday Friday and Sunday of the following week and that I will Read, that is actually sit down each morning and comprehend the written word of Dr. Atkins from page 1- wherever I get through Sunday.

I think I'll also start a thread next Sunday so I can report my progress! You can feel free to post yours as well,if you are so inclined!!! :p

Ok- now all I have to do is print his up and sign it! :teeth:
 
I know that together we can all make it , I knew this was going to be a bad weekend for me, so many birthdays and mother's day, who can help not to eat a piece of cake? my children don't know anything about diets, they want to celebrate with mom and dad because there are no other relatives that they see, my inlaws are basically non existent. Tomorrow I'm baking cupcakes for dd's class but I WILL NOT touch one, that I KNOW!!
So let's all stick together, and do it together, if I can do it, anyone can!
 
Great post, Kanga! I just love reading anything you post on here! You always have a great outlook on everything...and even though you had a little mishap this weekend, you got right back up and on track again!! I am so proud of you!! :):)

Karen, I am on Induction again this week as well, so we can do it together...:):)
 
Hi Olga! Glad to hear you are getting back on track today. Bad days happen to all of us so at least you are not alone. Hoping you had a great Mother's Day!!

BTW, only 6 weeks to go! :) I talked to my mom last night and she was telling me about a glass place near her house where they blow all kinds of glass pieces. Got me to thinking about you and the outlets!!! :teeth:

Glad you are getting back on track! There will be times when we can't always stick to the plan, but that's not the end of the road. GREAT attitude you have there!!! :) Woo-hoo!!!!!!!!
 
Olga, getting back on track is the hardest part. I've done it many times. Tomorrow we'll see if I stayed on track.
