Ok, this is ridiculous

Okay, you've talked me into trying a FLAKE bar the next time I'm in Epcot!!

Be sure to come back and thank us (or curse us to get you on a $2.30 candy bar habit!)

They just flake into your mouth and practically melt the instant it hits your tounge! ***ahhhhhhh**** <- Angels Singing.

We have a store here called World Market. They carry all sort of English sweets, including the wonderful Flake Bar. Heck me mum is English. Was raised on English candy. Oh so Devinne yummmmmm:angel:

REALLY! We have a World Market in the Twin Cities. That's 90 miles from me but my daughter lives up there so we get up there every couple weeks anyway...if I had seen this earlier I'd have stopped there today! THANK YOU! :goodvibes

They're chocolate bars made by Cadbury & they're really good. :thumbsup2

Ohhhhhhh my mouth is watering! I like the Aero Bars too and Terry's Chocolate Orange, but for the last couple years I can find the Chocolate Orange here. But Flakes remain out of reach in America. Don't know why...we have other Cadbury chocolate here, why not Flakes???

10 DAYS! We go in 10 DAYS and I am forking over the dough for my FLAKE! :)

I don't know, I think some of the sights and characters you see at Walmart can give Disney a run for their money. :rotfl:

That's funny.

After reading all the advice, it looks like we are going to have to pack up some snacks. Do you all feel it's worthwhile to head back to the lockers no matter where you are at in the park or should we just plan our snack attacks accordingly?

I am most likely going to Epcot on Saturday to catch the Jon Secada concert. If I do,I will certainly report back on the taste of the Flake!!

I was reading this thread and had heard about the Flake candy bar before but never tried it.Well today I'm walking around in Sawgrass Mills mall and they have these booths with international candy,so out of curiosity I looked for Flake and there it was front and center.Bought it and it definitely is very good, what I really like about it is how the flavor changes from mild, crumbly and light when you first put it in your mouth to getting more intense and flavorful as you chew.I can't believe I had never tried these before at EPCOT.I always buy the mango Hi-Chews at the Japan pavillion which are definitely one of my favorite candies out there, but next time I'm at WS I'm going to pick up a Flake.

WE all know, espcially me because i am there almost every day (lol) that wdw prices for food can be ridiculous. I puchased a Twix candy bar from the Main street confectionary yesterday and it cost $2.30! I about died, but like an idiot handed over the money. Walmart sells these for .50 lol.

I bet the ones at Walmart don't taste as magical :wizard:

Just wanted to say Hi Neighbor!!! We go to Sawgrass Mills all the time. Have you seen the new Disney outlet? Thanks for the tip, I'll have to try a Flake there! Now I don't have to wait until January!

A few thoughts,

1) I have to get a Flake.

2) I agree that Disney is probably cheaper than some amusement parks for some things.

3) The Disney table service restaurants are what always struck me as the most overpriced and underperforming. Dollar for dollar and quality for quality the Universal Studios table service beats them hands down.

4) For Six Flags, the annual pass is MMUUUUCCCHHH cheaper, they give better discounts to their annual passholders and they offer big refillable cups that can be used for many trips. The cups only cost 99 cents to refill.

Now, if only they had creative ATTRACTIONS...

Here in Mexico I can get a Six Flags annual Pass for only 40 dollars (actually right now with the current exchange rate it's closer to 33 dollars). And, this pass is good for any Six Flags Park in the World - including those in the states (you also get a little booklet with some freebies, like a few free entrances for your friends). So yes, Six Flags is a whole lot cheaper - BUT, Six Flags can't even begin to compare to what Disney is. If I want a quick one time action filled day, Six Flags is fine. If I want a real vacation filled with magic, there's only one place that I can find that.
The price of food at Six Flags I thought was about the same as what I found at Disney. We normally eat at Hardees at Six Flags. I can get a burger plate for about 7 dollars (plus a drink for about 2.50). So less then 10 dollars gets me a burger, fries and a drink.

Yeah I saw the Disney's Character Warehouse store. It basically was renovated and looks nicer now.It however looks a little smaller than before.I bought a rare 2008 Disney's MGM magnet at the store and asked the lady at the counter if the store was smaller and she said that the back of the store doesn't go as far back as it used to.It was never a huge store like the one at the Orlando outlet and even the Dolphin Mall location is very big,but it just looked even smaller now, nicer, but smaller.

We rarely eat at Disney anymore, it's way too expensive. We'll eat at home before we go to the parks and stop for drinks at a gas station on the way home. If we still lived up north we would have been priced out of Disney vacations a few years ago.

YAY! A Flake Convert! Long live the Flake!
:dance3:

ok, but why does the twix cost $2.30 when their mickey mouse choclate bar cost$1.30? Guess that is what i am grousing about.
So they can sell more of the Mickey candy. That's how I'd price it...

I'd think you'd want to bring them with you, but I never use the lockers either. I don't like having to return to the front of the park for anything. However, I prefer to eat the snacks at Disney - much more fun that way.

So did you get your Flake?? Man, I wish I had a World Market in our town.... I would load a cart up with those wonderful candy bars!! :cloud9:

Hi guys

:rotfl: I've been sitting here laughing at you all slobbering over the coveted 'FLAKE'.

Don't know if you guys have heard but there is also a 'FLAKE DIPPED' bar too!!! Now that is yummy. It is the same flake chocolate but it has a chocolate soft shell around it. Takes the fun out of the flake bits falling down your top though! There is also a dark chocolate flake too but that is disgusting really.

My favourite is a double decker bar....now that is tasty!!
