What I find strange is not that it looks like Disney but that there is NO ONE there. How does a park like that stay open and make a profit. And I agree that the stairs to nowhere is great. I was rollin when I saw that pic.

I'd like to have that coaster in a Disney park! I think it would fit very nicely in Animal Kingdom, or perhaps the area that 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea vacated. Only drawback... theming!

I think that WDW could have a wooden coaster (maybe rescued from another park) and call it the Classic Woody.

Yeah, that was weird. When we say "How many people are in this park" and Dan says "Two" he was like serious! The park was SO DEAD that even though there was three of us there, it felt like even fewer!!!

I don't think we saw more than 20 other people the rest of the day.

And the park was doing this "rotate ride ops" thing. Can you imagine getting to MK and having them be all "Sorry, guys, Space Mountain isn't open right now because the ride ops are over at Buzz!"

That's pretty much what it was like!

They could have a beer consession right by it so you could get a Buzz before.....um ....ya know!!!

I swear I had a nightmare of an abaondened park and it was this place. Wow. You were pretty brave for going there, it looks like a creepy place. Especially, since it looked like you were the only ones there.

It's funny, after seeing that video I want to go to this park even more! I'm in the planning stages for a trip to Tokyo disneyland in 2007 and I may have to make a day trip to Nara. I was in Epcot last week and I spoke to a couple of girls in the Japan pavillion who spoke some semblance of English (good luck) and none of them had heard of Nara Dreamland. Screw coaster, I just can't get that out of my head.

Yikes! I haven't seen "Swept Away," but it reminded me of something out of Stephen King's "Dark Tower" series. It wouldn't surprise me a bit if that monorail was named Blaine.

I would so strongly reccomend going to Nara, just to SEE the place. It's so weird and bizarre. It is kind of a trek from Tokyo, though, and the park is open weird hours. The day we were there they were only open 10-4.

It was strange being one of like 25 people in the park (MAYBE 25 people!) I have no idea how long the park could last with business like that.

But the strange part was, the "nice" areas of the park were REALLY nice and well kept up. It was just so strange so see some really great landscaping in one area, and then dilapitated buildings in another.

Anyway, thanks for the feedback about the site and the videos, it's always appreciated!

Thanks Robb -- great video, although now you're to blame for me getting even less work done.
I found your site a while ago and love it! I sent the link to my girlfriend, who is planning a WDW wedding, so she could check out your amazing wedding video. ^^ LOL! I know what you mean! We always get emails from people who we don't know, but feel like they've known us forever! It's kind of cool actually! At least we know our personalities do come across in our photo updates and videos! We're working on some pland where maybe we'll organize trips or meets or something. We'll see how that goes. No plans yet...just still thinking about it.
