I'm trying to start the planning process for our 2014 trip. I'm attempting to price the AoA for rooms and the dates I've selected say there are no rooms available...SERIOUSLY? I'm looking for late January. Are rooms really all booked up already or has Disney just made them unavailable until a certain time? We scheduled and took our last trip within about three months, so I didn't have much trouble booking anything with it being so fast. This time I wanted to be sure and book early so that we could start payments.

What may be the issue.... are you trying to book room only or a package? I think package prices may not be available yet for 2014. Hope this helps.

Are you trying to book the room online? Generally, the website only books through Dec 31 of the current calendar year.
You will need to phone the reservation line. And as PP stated, packages won't be available until (maybe with fingers crossed) 180 days in advance of our projected check in.

Disney does not usually release prices for the next year until late in the current year, so that's why 2014 does not show up online. You would need to call to make the reservation.

Just to clarify what the PPs have already said.

1. Room only reservations can be made up to 499 days in advance, but only by phone. Since rates have not been issued for any resorts after 2013, you will be quoted the highest rack rate for that resort for this year. Once the 2014 rates are announced, your balance will be adjusted accordingly. You would be required to pay the equivalent of one night's stay at the time of booking.

2. Packages cannot be booked at all for 2014 until the rates are announced later in the year. That could be any time this summer.

Just wanted to add that if you want a package, it's best to wait until the 2014 rates are released. If you book room only now and change to a package later, the room only will have to be cancelled/refunded and a package booked, requiring a new $200 deposit, with the balance due 45 days prior to arrival. Room only and packages are different reservation systems so money paid toward one cannot be applied to the other.
