I told my husband something today and he confirmed for me that I am definitely a freak (I've suspected it for some time now).

When I was pregnant with each of my sons, I always got excited when the dairy products at the store had my due date. I'd think, "Wow! The sour cream (or cottage cheese, or whatever) says July 12. That means it's really getting close"

So today, I bought sour cream that expires on December 3. We're leaving on our Disney trip on December 15 (close enough to December 3, right?). I showed the container to my husband and said, "Look how close this is to our trip! When this sour cream goes bad, it will be almost time to leave for Disney!"

His response? "You're a freak!" Oh well! I can't wait to use up the sour cream so I can get another one with a date even closer to the trip!!!!!

I will never walk down the Dairy Aisle quite the same way again! You are NOT A FREAK. well maybe just a little...but the Disney kind just like the rest of us!!!!! :sunny:

I can also relate! I will notice the dates on things also, chips milk etc and think oh, thats my birthday etc. I am so glad that I am not alone at doing this.

"A Freak" :bitelip: no I don't think so. You seem quite normal to me :thumbsup2

.....it will almost be time to go to Disney! That really made me :rotfl:
I'm going to go to the store today and get ME some! :thumbsup2

It's okay! I think we all can relate a little bit. At work for the past few months, whenever someone would schedule a meeting near the day I leave (Oct. 31), I would get excited and think to myself that by the time the meeting day comes, I'll be almost ready to leave! So, it's sort of along the same lines! You don't have long to go at all now!

I do the same thing with dates on milk, etc.! Of course you're not a freak! :thumbsup2

Then again, when things like this come up, I always think back to a science fiction book I read as a teenager where people were transformed into monsters (sort of like Invasion of the Body Snatchers). When some characters were suspicious that they hadn't always been monsters, other (transformed) people disagreed, and said, no of course we've all always been this way. It's those (non-transformed) people that are the freaks!

Can you really trust a bunch of Disney freaks to honestly evaluate whether you're a freak? :p

I did the exact same thing when I was pregnant. Food expirations dates, library books, etc.

:rotfl: When I read the date of your sour cream, I thought I will be arriving at Disney that day! I must be a freak too!

Uh huh..... you're a freak! :rotfl:
Don't worry, though.... you're right at home with the rest of us freaks! :thumbsup2

When I get eggs I always make sure that they are not broken or stuck to the bottom of the carton. I do this by opening up the carton and moving the eggs slightly. My ex always asked me if I was "counting" all of the eggs to make sure that they were there.

So if you're a freak, so am I. Welcome to the club.

I can hear the click of my husband's eyes rolling even now. Welcome to the club! :)

I do the exact same thing with any date that looks remotely familiar!
I love to see my DD or my birthdates as dates for other things too.
As for the eggs, I always pick up each egg to check to see that they are all OK too!
..... but then again, I love to look at other poples (complete strangers) trip photos & food photos on the computer..................hmmm
I guess I am the wrong person to ask.

Thanks everyone! I feel a little less freaky now. Or maybe I feel even more freaky. No less...no more...no less...no more. Oh I don't know! I live with 2 rabbits and enjoy discussing dairy products on-line with a bunch of Disney people. If freak is the mildest thing anyone calls me, then so be it! :rotfl2:
