just to add to your problems don't ever use the table salt either...i've seen kids( for some reason they all seem to have runny noses too) lick those at any number of places so i always ask for packets which makes the waitress look at me like i have lost my mind

Two weeks ago I was at Bob Evans when a little boy at the next table stuck the top of the salt shaker in his mouth. I told the lady at the check out line when we left so they could remove it from the table.

Then to my embarrassment this past Wednesday we were eating at Wendy's when my 4 y/o picked up the salt shaker and did the same thing. He had never done that before and I have no idea what possessed him to do it then. I took it up to the register and told them what he did -- they threw it in the trash can.

Adding to the yuck -

Ketchup bottles - I had a friend that was a waitress, we went out to eat for lunch, she took the ketchup bottle at the end of our meal, and took a used napkin to clean off the bottle She said she hates to do that job at work, so when she eats out she always is "helpful"...

I wouldn't be worried. I've been to CM's Boma, CP, and H and V and in none of these did I observe anything that bad. The worst thing I noticed was someone scooping two items with the same spoon. And lots of things like the salt and Catsup happen in any place, Buffet or not. You have to understand threads on a message board are self selecting. So you won't get a truly random sample. You'd get the impression from the threads it's shere chaos every day at those places. For the most part when I went, people were well behavied.

On my trip, my grossout happened at Marrakesh which isn't a buffet at all.
