I am so torn!!!

How did you make your decision?

We are probably going in Fall 2006. We have three kids (who will then be 3, 5, 7). DH and I like the idea of active excursions (we are certified divers, like to ride horses, etc) and our kids are easy-going and loved the kids' programming on our 3-night Wonder...

We haven't been to any of the ports of call for either itinerary.

Ack!

I really did not like the ports on the Western. I booked an Eastern for Feb 06. After that, I think Ill do a back to back Wonder cruise.

I preferred the Eastern....it was much prettier and you have an extra sea day...just my opinion.

We like the Eastern as it gives you one more sea day. However, that early passport check is really a bummer! ha ha

We have chosen the Eastern for the second time... mostly because of the extra sea day. Sea days are great!

My vote is for Eastern. Not that Western is bad, but I liked the Eastern islands better. (I thought the islands and beaches were prettier). Plus I love having that extra sea day. You probably won't be disappointed either way. A positive on the Western is that Grand Cayman has some of the bluest water I've ever seen! Maybe if you like to "party" the Western would be a better choice? Lots of cool places to party on Key West and Cozumel. Have I got you even more torn between the two now? Sorry!

I've done Eastern twice and Western once. Our next is a Western. I prefer the Western ports because of the snorkeling. I loved the snorkeling in Cozumel and Grand Cayman.

If we had had a choice on our last cruise, we would have chosen Western instead of Eastern but we needed to cruise the week of the Eastern.

Did the Eastern 1st before there was a Western. Liked the Western far better, didn't like feeling like we were "trapped" on the ship the 1st 2 days of the cruise (at least the way it was then) on the Eastern. However, the excursion to St. Johns that is available on the Eastern, is a pretty strong draw to return.

we are doing the western for our second cruise- reason #1- less days at sea. Two is enough for our kids who will be 4 and 6. it gets crowed at the pools and buffet lines at the day at sea. But the big reason is we love grand cayman. the waters are blue as can be and the snorkeling -scuba is the best! It doesnt get any better than the caymans..

Ack: I would think that scheduling would be the prevailing factor. It always has been for us. But if choice diving is your desire, Western hands down.
