Yesterday I got my tax return, so I bought myself a new toy, an iPad2 (64 gig wifi only).

Still trying to figure out how to use it and what apps to get, but my favourite so far is the netflix app. I can sit in bed and watch movies. That and the MLB app. I'm a sports stat junkie, and just LOVE the app while watching a game on TV.

Other apps I've downloaded so far:
MLB at bat 11
angry birds
Plants vs zombies
dropbox
air video
friendly
garageband
flipboard
tunein radio
twitter

Any suggestions/help would be greatly appreciated.

Unfortunately, Pandora is US only. Is eticket worth it for an iPad? I thought t was a gps app for your phone?

I know that, but what good is it to me in Toronto on my iPad? I thought it was to help you round the parks. If it's more, then please explain.
Apparently it's supposed to be a much better way to post on the DISboards than through Safari on the iPad. I haven't checked that out yet.

Sayhello

Here are some I recommend:

ABC Player
PBS App
Weatherbug
Photobucket (to upload pics on vacation)
Dice Match HD

Enjoy your iPad2!!!

I have both the WDW and DL Eticket on my ipad. I used it for setting up my itinerary etc.
Good Aps for your Ipad. City TV app is good and so is the GLobal TVone..

Kindle and I books are good, but I prefer the KIndle App.

Fruit Ninja is fun.

Enjoy.. I love my Ipad 2

Gee, ESPN, ABC and PBS all sound nice in theory, but again US only. :(

I'll check out the others though.

Shazam is a great music recognition app. It does get stumped sometimes, but for the most part it's accurate.

I use the Eticket app for reading the DISboards on my iPod Touch. It's much better than trying to do it through Safari.

i downloaded the Global Video app the other day. You can't watch their videos online with Safari but you can with their app. Was very useful when I needed watch the Office from the comfort of my bed. LOL

I pad $3 for Photogene so I could edit photos. I also have Photoshop Express and that's free.

What else...
Scrabble <--- I am addicted to this as much as Angry Birds
CBC Radio
Friendly Facebook
Skype
Kobo
Ibooks

The latter two in case I want to read a book ...

I'm absolutely in love with the mlb 11 baseball app. Great for all the stats while watching a game, or you can get mlb.tv and watch any out of town game.

TWIT app is great for all of Leo's podcasts. For those in Canada, there's a Rogers PVR app that you can remotely record TV.

I also have an HP wireless printer that uses Airprint, so i can even print out things with no installs.

I would totally get the eticket app!!! I am on it more than I am any other app!!! Great for posting and reading the DIS!!!! Great job on the app for whomever created it :)

On my iPod Touch and my iPhone, I read and post on the Disboards from Safari. Good enough? How much better is it with $6.00 app? Most of the app looks like it is for planning and touring, so I have not bought it (yet).

I bought it, and would tend to agree with you. I really don't think I'll be using it all that much.

Netflix, video podcasts, baseball games online, all work great. I'm sure that there are many more ideas out there.

It's $6.00 better.:thumbsup2

It's a mobile version of the boards.

It loads faster and easier than the full version through Safari.

I use the ESPN iScore baseball scorecard app and love it. I also have the Live365 app so I can listen to Dis radio:thumbsup2
