DS7 has been out sick the past week at school and he went in with me today for a little bit and was talking to one of his special needs teachers while waiting for me to finish my work.

His conversation went something like this….His friend Pete, one of his famous Dis friends, fell asleep during the Simpson movie but he really liked the ride…then went on to describe the ride in detail. His mom doesn’t like the Simpson’s show because I think it makes him to hyper but if Pete says it’s ok then I should let him watch it.

John called his mom a triceratops not a ceratops but that is ok because a ceratops is a triceratops. It wasn't a fat joke because John is not mean like that and his moms name is mommyceratops...

Pete shot someone in his house but he didn’t kill anyone so we didn’t need to worry.

His mom wants to go on a cruise with Kevin and is working three jobs so we can go!

Keep in mind I was only catching part of this – I can only imagine what she thinks about me wanting to cruise with man. :cutie: I am hoping she didn't catch all of his story.

I am sure she will tell me about it tomorrow when I see her! :lmao: :lmao:

Kids will tell anything - then moms go and post them on a message board. :bitelip:

You've got some splaining to do!!! :rotfl2:

Just tell them he has a sixth sense - like that Mary Jo Almond boy in that movie............Tell them he see's Pod People............

Oh that is so funny. I would love to have heard the teacher when she said "Oh, that's nice," even thought she has no idea what he's talking about.

I have had those kind of conversations with the kids at work, and usually the parents crack up when i ask them about it later. People who work with special needs kids oftern get these kind of conversations, just dont be surprised if she brings it up!

Super cute though! :rotfl:

Thankfully there was no Dole Whip conversations - who knows how that could get misconstrued! :rotfl2:

It all makes so much sense when we are listening...
guess that is why I love all you guys so much - you understand me! ::yes::

I also have a special needs child who has autism and I have had many of those conversations with either family members or co-workers after a day at the office for my daughter. They usually tend to go like this.

Co-Worker " I never knew that much about you, is it really true that you go to bathroom right after you comb your hair every morning?" And some really private things in my life. It is crazy what kids say to strangers and how they love to spill each and every bit of your life story with people that really do not need to know. I have had some pretty awful things happen to me in my life that my daughter witnessed and she will tell anyone that will listen. And I try to just say that she got that from a movie or something. The really sad thing is that she doesn't know that what she is doing could be not so nice for her mommy. But in the end it is funny the way she tells the stories and I get a good laugh at trying to cover them up.

Just a thought

Even worse he just hears the voices in his head! :lmao:

Oh yes! I work at the front desk in the mornings and I LOVE it when the parents bring them in late and never fails a child always says "My mom slept in" before the mom can make an exscuse up! Kids always say funny things and embaress the parents.

I am used to DS7 saying those things. He was talking to the therapist who came in to work with him one day and he told her he was to busy to work with her and she said ok and came back an hour later --- this went on 4 times and he finally looks at her and says "Ok who is your boss? Your FIRED" like from Donald Trumps show. It was so funny! (she laughed also) DS did apologize to her the next day and said "I am sorry you got a family and I wouldn't want you not to feed them!"

It just sounded so funny, I never realized how much they listen to the show! :lmao:

The teacher did stop me this morning and was laughing about it. She remarked how much my sons know about Disney! I laughed and failed to mention he only hears his "Uncle Pete" :lmao: :lmao: I confessed - I am brainwashing him so I can go on vacation every year! I decided a little gossip about me cruising with another man wouldn't hurt! :lmao: :lmao: I didn't know where to begin that explination.

It does make me a little nervous since they are testing him over the summer again, and that is the big whole mental test....:faint:

Oh I might have some explaining to do.....Can I call in from jail! :lmao: :lmao:

Ohmigosh! LOL!:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

You do have some splainin to do! Actually I was delighted my kids got so into Disney so we could go every year as well! :)

**Parker did something similar in talking about Bawb at school. He told everybody at circle about Bawb going to Star Wars Weekends! The teacher was kinda confused b/c she knew we went in May but hadn't heard of this before this past March (when I showed him the video).

Just wanted to let you guys know that I got my POD SQUAD shirt today. Very nice material, a bit large for the size, but I havent washed it yet.
Great offers for friends, etc with the purchase.
Kinda Geeky, but I am so excited about wearing my shirt on our trip in 21 days!
Thanks!:moped:  :hippie:

new thread

Think you'll get funny looks when they realize your son has so many unrelated uncles? How do you explain Uncle Pete, Uncle John, Uncle Corey, Uncle Will and Mommy's BFF, Uncle Kevin? :lmao:

Honestly Kim -- He sounds like the cutest little guy ever. I wish my kids would pay that much attention to the stuff going on around them! I'm sure there are times when having a child with special needs is a real challenge, but it sounds like the love and joy he has brought to your lives (and your new extended family!) is immeasurable. :goodvibes

Thanks! I think he is cute! :lovestruc

You know it was funny. I was confessing to my dear friend (who knows the "truth" about the DisUnplugged and my obsession) she died laughing.

I so often wish Kaleb paid attention more, but maybe he does!

Can I suggest a new segment of throwing in random math facts for the kids that listen to every word you say! :lmao: Would that be the first envelope on the new system?! :duck: What you can't hit me for asking?! :lmao:
