You can request non-smoking, but they may just ignore it, since all rooms are now non-smoking.
I guess you could request a room that was never a smoking room, but I'm not sure they're even maintaining a list of former smoking rooms. It's been over two months since the smoking ban took effect, and all of the former smoking rooms have been taken out of service and been thoroughly cleaned, and had all of the soft goods replaced (curtains, bedspreads, etc.), so there really shouldn't be much if any smoke smell anymore.
If you do get a room that still smells smoky, you can always go right back to the front desk and ask to be moved. That's what I'd do.
