We will be "going Home to OKW next Saturday

This will be our first stay at OKW, we have a smoking studio reserved. Can anyone recommend a building not too far from the main building and near the main pool?

Building 25 would fit that description, but don't get too hung up on specific buildings- just request a "Smoking Optional" room. Have a great trip!

Although we have not stayed in building 25, we have stayed in 23 and 26. It's just a short walk over the bridge to Turtle Crawl.

Building 25 will give you a golf course view and a good view of Illuminations.

do you handle room requests the same as other WDW resorts? Would I still fax the room controller?

You can sure try the fax, but requests are supposed to be honored by when they were made (ie: when the reservation was made) and not by 12th hour begging.

Requests are also supposed to be met in your order of importance- so make sure you list your 1st priority.

If a smoking (or non-smoking) room is your 1st priority ask for that first, then location, floor, view, etc.
