DIS Boards Website SPAM

I have experienced it for over 2 months now..all devices and different locations,,,I just back out and restart,,its a pain,, but wasnt sure if it was my end or the website.

Been happening for months for me, was almost impossible to use the site for a few weeks.

Now 'm using Chrome with AdBlock extension, no issues.

Yes, it's been really bad the last few weeks. Using Chrome on an Pixel phone. I get redirected to scam / deceptive sites sometimes even without touching anything, just letting it sit there while reading. Very intrusive and obviously coming from bad actors, something should be done!

Yes. For months now. Very frustrating. I installed the free Privacy Badger (recommended by the NYT Wirecutter) and that has - knock-on-wood - resolved everything for me. It's not an ad-blocker but effectively functions as one as it blocks anything with an embedded tracker.

Same thing is happening to me
This has helped:

From Google AI:

To block websites on an iPhone or iPad using iOS's built-in features, you'll use Screen Time and its Content & Privacy Restrictions. Specifically, you'll navigate to Settings > Screen Time > Content & Privacy Restrictions and then use the Content Restrictions > Web Content settings to limit access to certain websites

I use ad blockers on my phone and run an adblocker server for my home network, so I never notice it. I remember once I checked the site from another person's laptop and was flabbergasted by how bad the ads are.

The screen time workaround might work a very specific ad/spam for a while, but it'll come back sooner or later. There are reputable and reliable ad blockers out there. https://adguard.com/ is well known and the free option can do a good job for most users
