going for 10 nights so 4 nights at POP 3 at WL and 3 at AKL?
How often have you swicted resorts? Would you do it again?

We tried switching 3 times and it was rough! Remember that you must check out by 11 and many times the other room isn't ready until 3 or after. For a 10 day trip I would only move once. Otherwise it feels like you lose a day each time you move. I know that in theory you don't lose a day, but to me it feels that way!

I have switched resorts three times a couple trips - usually I split between two. I don't think it's a problem unless you would normally use the room in the middle of the day and might lose that on the moving days. I hardly ever go back during the day so it's never been an issue. Plus even if I have a car I let Disney transfer the luggage so not to deal with it. Usually I have the luggage transferred in the morning, go out on my normal day then just check in when I'm done at the parks.

Have fun!

We've done a 3-resort switch on a 12-day stay (BWV, WL, BWI) and it was fine. Like the previous poster commented, it may be easier to let Disney transfer the luggage-- that's what we did and it was very easy.

We have 2 resorts planned for our upcoming 8-day trip (5 at BWV and 3 at Vero Beach) and we are looking forward to it. We love experiencing the themes at each resort.

Have fun with the different resorts!

I saw your post about Vero Beach. Do you have to be a vacation club member to stay there? We are thinking about splitting our vacation between two resorts in October.

We tried this last February - not three resorts - only two. It still made our vacation seem "shorter". Although I love the concept, in reality it just did not work for us, but it seems to work well for others.

If I remember correctly (I have to check my signature!), we have done 4 in 9 days!! I think we started out with Hard Rock Hotel for 2 days, Royal Pacific Resort for another 2 days, then on to WDW CBR for 4 days and 1 day at CSR.

I thought just in case we didn't like HRH, we still get to stay at our favorite resort RPR. Then at CBR, we had a problem there and we were not happy there, so we ended up switching on our last night at CSR. CSR saved our stay WDW.

Would I ever switch that many time in 9 days...never again. I would probably do 2 resorts in 10 days. I don't like moving too much. It takes too much of our time from having fun and it's a lot of work from checking in, out, in and out....packing and unpacking.

We've switched resorts once and that was fun. I don't think I'd want to swtich across 3 resorts in 10 days.

Hi I always do it .. we only pack enough for 4 days in our suitcased and a few warm weather clothes ( we do laundry on vacation beside we don't want too heavy of suitcased ) and always switch hotels -- we have done 4 in 9 days before ! I think of it this way -- we get to see and try out lots of places so we can find our favorite . go for it I say .. Michelle

Our last trip was stayed at 4 resorts:
May 29 Pop Century
May 30-June 4 BWV
June 4- 7 RPR
June 7-Poly

Our next trip will probably be 3 resorts since we dont stay at the DVC resorts over on Fri or Sat. It just eats up to many of our points since we dont really have that many and we stay in a 2 bdrm. So far our plan is to get in on the afternoon of May 26 (the day my last ds gets out of school for the summer) and will say at 1 resort May 26-29 then move over to our DVC resort May 29-June 3 then move over to Universal for 2 or 3 days.
