our favorite dessert this trip was the dessert sampler at alfredos it was 9.95 but worth every penny of it i even had enough to share with 2 dining companions, it had a sample of tira mi su, cannoli, choc mousse, cheesecake, and 2 other desserts samples that were absolutely delicious, kinda reminded me of what we use to get for desset at animators palete on dcl that they didnt have this time,

That sounds unreal. Gotta try that. My husband has fantasies about the Skolbread (sic?) at Kringala Bakery in Norway. It is a sweat "roll" stuffed with custard cream and topped with white icing and a bit of coconut. The last time we were there, there was only one left as we got to the counter, and people behind us were screaming "Oh no! He got the last one!" when my husband ordered it. The CM assured them there were plenty more. I love anything from the Boulangerie, and the Pecan Pie they used to serve at Bonfamilles at PO was to die for.

It's a toss up between the 'No Way Jose' at Beaches and Cream and the Smores at 50s Prime Time.

Yuummm..... I'm getting hungry!

I don't know if this is my favorite dessert at WDW - but I just had to tell you about it...

We were at Kona Cafe this past Saturday night, and they have added several new desserts since I was last there this past May.

If you like tiramisu - they have a "Hawaiian tiramisu," which is very similar to the Italian version but, instead of brandy soaked ladyfingers, it's "rum soaked sponge cake..." the marscapone cheese is the same, but there's more cinnamon in it - IMO. Then, it's all in an edible, "almond(?)-brittle" cup.

It was REALLY good! It was actually my DH's choice - I tried their new banana creme brulee - which was also really good, but the tiramisu "took the cake." :)

In the theme parks-Peach tarts at Boulangerie Pastry shop; outside, the Strike it Rich sundae at Ghiardellis. Anxious to try the "No Way, Jose" on my next trip, though, to see how it compares.

Banana Nepoleon at the Flying Fish

phello dough, filled with creme bruelle and sliced bananas and topped with carmellll

YUMMY!!!!!

Well now that Jiko has decided to do the stupidest thing on planet Earth and stop serving the Carmadom Chocolate Purses (the BEST thing I've ever tasted and voted best dessert in The World for 2001) I will have to fall back to my #2 choice for Best Dessert in The World for 2001 and Best Dessert for 2000 - The Banana Napoleon from Flying Fish.

Fabulous! Crispy, light phylo dough, vanilla bean creme brulee, sliced bananas, yummy caramel, fresh whipped cream...... droooollllll

The best "fast food" dessert is the Brownie Sundae with carmel sauce at Mrs. Potts Cupboard in Fantasyland at Magic Kingdom

And of course a Chocolate Shake from Ghiradelli's in Downtown Disney Marketplace

If you wanna dig in to something huge and sweet:
Dad's Super Sundae at MGM's 50's Prime Time Cafe. Two hot, fudgy brownies covered in large scoops in vanilla ice cream, topped with two dollops of whipped cream, M&M's, Caramel Corn, and I think sprinkles. Also topped with white chocolate blue mini-Mickey-Fantasia hat. Yum!!!

Boy, thanks you guys! You just gave me the incentive to stay on my diet until November so that I can try all these yummy-sounding desserts then, and not feel guilty. Really, I'm thinking of printing out this thread and putting it on my refrigerator for when the grumbly tummy starts!

Could someone tell me what is a No Way Jose? We will be going to Beaches and Cream in Jan. I bet this thing is better than the Kitchen Sink?! I would love a discription!

No Way Jose as best as I remember it:

Chocolate and Vanilla Ice Cream
Hot Fudge
Peanut Butter Sauce
Whipped Cream
Chocolate Morsels
Peanut Butter Morsels
And of course, a cherry on top :)

No Way Jose gets my vote. Chocolate & peanut butter, what's not to love?

I haven't had dessert many places at WDW, but I've got to go with the Hot Fudge Sundae at Ghiradelli's at DTD from what I've had! Simply to die for!!

The Grapefruit Cake from the Brown Derby at MGM, we have to have a piece on each trip. The chocolate chunk cookies from the confecture store on main street at the Magic Kingdom. We also love Dole Whips at MK.

The Chocolate Wave at the Coral Reef. Similar to the chocolate lava cake at Kona Cafe, with the addition of white chocolate ice cream. Oh My! I asked the waiter if it was OK to come in just for dessert, he just sort of politely laughed. Diana

As I already said on the other thread.... it's gotta be the chocolate chip cookie ice cream sandwich from the Main St. Bakery. :) Especially when the cookies are fresh out of the oven. :) Yummmmmmmmm!!!!!!! :)

Actually, any dessert that involves chocolate gets my vote! ;)
