Ok, Now I've Seen Everything (I think)

I've see maple cupcakes with bacon in various bakeries. I think they are just giving the home cook an easy way to have the same experience at home.
 
We made those cookies and they are really quite delicious. It's not a strong bacon or maple flavor.
 
Okay time to fess up. I made Rice Krispie cake with bits of real bacon in it. It was delicious. Found the recipe in a Food Network magazine devoted to bacon. :)
 
Do not understand the devotion for bacon, or the need to put it in products where it has no business showing up! A slice, maybe two, of bacon on the breakfast plate w/ some eggs & toast, twice a year tops, is sufficient in my book.

Just don't get it myself. Guess that means more for all the bacon lovers out there.

I feel pretty much the same way. Bacon is tasty, but I'd rather have some for breakfast or in a BLT occasionally...maybe more than twice a year, but not too often.

If anyone has a doctor who recommends increased bacon fat intake, please get me an appointment. ;)
 

They made cookie mix too.
My friend made them.
Too bad he didn't get the frosting.

I didn't see the cookie mix at the display where they had the frosting. I only noticed that they made it when I looked at the frosting container.

To the pp who mentioned the real bocon bits, we use the Hormel real bacon bits in with our pancake mix as well. it tastes pretty good.
 
Maple and bacon is a fantastic combo. Since I was a kid, I take pancakes, lay bacon and sharp cheddar in the middle, roll up, and then dip in syrup. SO good.

Or peanut butter and bacon sandwiches..yum.
 
I could see this being tasty. Although I'd much prefer real bacon with homemade frosting. It's the sweet/salty mix. Like sea salt caramel. So good!

Sorry, but I think you made a typo. I'm certain you meant twice a week rather than twice a year.

Mmmmm, loved PB and bacon sandwiches as a kid. Haven't had one in many years.

Sometimes when we're having pancakes or waffles and bacon, the syrup runs on the plate and touches the bacon. Not bad, but somehow the idea of bacon and maple cookies or cakes doesn't appeal to me.
