Unfortunately, that covering can also give the impression to the people walking that they are all alone......when in reality, there may be several people sitting on a balcony that can hear pretty much everything that goes on.
We had proof of this one day of our vacation, as a man walking by himself thought he had a perfect, private opportunity to rid himself of some excess gas. The result was long and loud.
The adults in our party looked at each other in amazement and then we all started laughing, trying to keep our noise level down so the poor fellow wouldn't know he was caught. My 8yo ds, however, said at the top of his voice, "Did you hear that guy fart?!"
