Here in Minnesota we have had a major bridge colapse affecting hundreds of people. I know of quite a few of us VMK'rs on here from our area and because cell phones are jammed we all have to rely on the internet. So any Minnesotan's out there please let us know you are all safe Looking specifically for Melp...

There are some deaths...which I saw it on the news here a bit ago and it looked bad. My heart and thoughts go out to those of you in the area that may have someone out there and hope you hear from them...lots of thoughts to those that have lost someone in that.

Yes so far six confirmed deaths however they expect more mainly because rescue effort s are still trying to get to many many trapped under and around the bridge as well as in the river...and now of course it is dark here... to all the rescue and emergency room workers

AWWW Timon! I feel so bad that I let you worry! I am fine as is my family. I had been watching and worrying about everyone too, but took a bit longer getting on tonight. I should have thought better though to sign on as soon as I got home from work

I do hope any other Minnesota DISer/VMKers out there are ok too though. I have been just so upset seeing everything on the news especially when I first heard at work. My heart goes out to anyone who was affected by this tragedy.

I was coming home from Las Vegas this morning and almost the entire terminal of chicago's o'hare airport was in silence watching this on the television, which is amazing if you have ever been in that airport. My family's and my thoughts and prayers go to all of you in Minnesota and anyone else affected by this tragedy.

As of right now there have been 7 deaths, but there are currently still 30 missing people.

Oh WOW! I had no idea how bad this is, I guess it is "good" (in a sense) to hear there are "only" four deaths, I would have expected more from something like that. Prayers for everyone involved.

I wish that was the case but unfortunately there are at least 30 cars in the water and dozens of missing people out there.....they have at present suspended the recovery mission because the water is so murky and there is so much debri in the water...
