OK IVAN blow away cause we are on our way

Well we are set to arrive in Disney on the 15th. I just read that Ivan may hit on the 11th. Just starting to get prepared to drive in case our flight is cancelled....yuck 24 hours instead of 2.5. Funny thing is my FIL name is Ivan,

Anyone heard where IVAN is going???

Wow, how much more can the people of FLA take. The third storm in about what a month.

My thoughts are with all the Florida people, hope you are all safe.

Same here. We head over to BC on the 15th & there better not be any hurricanes there while we're there! LOL

It is still too early to tell where Ivan might go, but Florida is being warned not to drop our guard.

As usual, we need to prepare for the worst.

Knowing what I do now, and that we are pretty much at the peak of the season, I would seriously second guess any trips to Florida during hurricane season.

I know people plan vacations for months or years, but Mother Nature doesn't care.

Ivan is my fault. I tempted fate on another thread started by the OP of this one. She had expressed concerns about Frances ruining her vacation, and I stated that Disney would probably be up and running by the 15th, which was the start of my trip, too. My last line on my post was about if there were another hurricane, that was another story..

So here we are with "another story"....

My apologies to y'all, I accept full responsibility for Ivan...

We're headed to Florida this coming Sunday (flying), staying with my Mom a couple days, then heading to WDW. For EVERYONE'S sake, I pray that Ivan will dissipate!

5 day track shows it hitting FLA.

I don't like that track at all. I just came home yesterday after spending 3 days at the hospital I work in. Don't think I could be up to doing a repeat any time soon.

People in Florida have been told not to take down the boards from their houses until we see where Ivan is headed. We won't know until the end of the week. It's pretty creepy driving around seeing all the windows boarded up. Not very nice.
