I think that if I had put that much effort into planning my vacation, only to have my plans thrown into chaos on such short notice, I would have been a wreck! I think Barb tried to make the best of a bad situation, by still using the non-refundable airfare & staying at WDW. I don't know what I would have done. How can any of us really say, unless it happened to us?

Another thing with the airfare. some have said (not on this thread) that you can change the tickets for $100 (each) plus any increase in the fare. Well, a friend just had to cancel a trip & was told that she had to reschedule a new trip BEFORE the date of her current one, or lost the whole fare. So in this case, people on the cancelled cruise would have had to pick a new week to cruise and re-arrange the air within days of notification by DCL. And still pay the change fee.

I would be upset if I came back here and found that other got freebies from DCL when I didn't. Tickets and meals are expensive!

Yes, there is real life and all, but sometimes we have bad feelings and need to express them! I think we depend on the DIS for that. And if you don't want to hear about it, go read something else!!

If you can report the number of threads about her trip, then you've obviously spent a lot of time looking for them. If you overhear a negative conversation at work, do you interrupt and say, "stop complaining?" Even if you hear the same conversation in the break room, AND in the cafeteria, AND in the parking lot?

Like I said, if you don't want to know, read something else. Try the debate board.
