We have had the land & sea package booked since Feb, but we keep adding on certain things. DH informed me this weekend that he thinks it is too much for our dd - will be 17 months at time of trip. Give me your opinion please.

We will be flying down on Sat 10/4 & arriving at MCO at 5 pm. We are staying at POR. Land & Sea package begins on Sun. Here is how are days are planned out: 10/5- Epcot, 10/6 - HS, 10/7 - Pool, MNSSHP, 10/8 - AK, 10/9 -Cruise, 10/10 - Cruise, 10/11 - Cruise, 10/12 - Sea World, 10/13 - Return Home.

I have this tripped planned to the T. We have all our ADRs, and I have naps planned daily while at WDW. It is me, dh, dd#1 - almost 5 at time of trip & dd#2 - 17 mos at time of trip. My cousin, her dh, & 3 yo DS are going to. Considering how the economy is going, this may be our last trip to WDW for quite some time (plus we don't have to get tickets to park for dd#2) I think the little one will be quite fine. We (my mom, sis & me) took DD#1 to Mall of America when she was 18 months & didn't have a problem at all.

What do you think?

As long as you take a nap break everyday you should be fine (my kids would be) but only you really know your kids. Even the 5 year old will need a rest. Consider that the lines should not be bad and the heat should be reasonable. Even though you will travel on the day you finish your cruise, most of that day will be free. Your plan sounds great to me. With kids that young we hit the parks early until after lunch then go back for a nap. In the evening we usualy go out to dinner and then go on a couple of rides then head back for bed. We never have meltdowns b/c the kids get a couple hours of rest mid-day and are refreshed.

If you find the kids not holding up you can always cut back or spend less time in any park.

sounds like it should be fine to me as long as you don't try to do every last thing in each park each day. With kids the ages of yours I think they will be fine as long as you don't rush them.

You won't know if it is too much until you are in the midst of it. Be flexible and willing to change from your plan if either or both kids needs a break. Don't push late into the evening if they really need to be in bed, and remember that it can take an hour to get to your hotel room from the time you decide to leave a park. We went to WDW for 10 days with our 5yo and 22mo last December, and we found that the kids did better with a big breakfast or big lunch than a big dinner, so you might want to make a mix of ADRs (many people seem to make mostly dinner ADRs). We also didn't go back to the parks some days after naps because the kids just needed a lower key, less stimulating activity that evening.

Is your only time in MK during the MNSSHP? On our trip, our kids were most into the rides at MK and Epcot - HS and AK were more half-day parks for them.

We took our DS when he was 17 months. We spent 7 days in a row in the parks and a day at Sea World and never went back for a break. He was fine because he could sleep in his stroller. The older 2 might be a little more worn out, but if you have plans for breaks, I don't think it's that rough of a schedule.
DS liked Animal Kingdom and Magic Kingdom the best, I would plan more time at Magic Kingdom, but that's JMO.

I think that it will be exactly what you make it! I have 4 kids, and I have learned that you just roll with it! Last year my son got sick, so my FIL stayed with him while we did HS. My DD was only 7months, and was great, very portable at that age! I have been with a 3 year old, 1 year old, 7 months old, and this year my DD with be 2 when we go. It is GREAT as long as you go in it for the fun it is, not the fun you think it should be! You have everything planned out which is great, and from that you can as I say, "roll with it!" Enjoy, don't over think it, or worry it! It will be a great family memory!
