AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!:faint:

only 4 days left!!! I think I'm having heart palpitations!! I am so excited yet TOTALLY overwhelmed!! I sat all day today highlighting my passporter & all the things I want to remember- I am SUCH a nerd!! I'm sure I'll spend the whole plane ride down reading it too! This is our shortest ever vacation-- the 3 night- PLEASE someone tell me that it won't be too fast that we don't have time for anything!! My BF couldn't take a lot of time off due to a new job!! I guess I'm stressed about getting things in in such a short time! We usually go to WDW for 2 weeks every 6 months!! AAAHHH-now that I got that off my chest... let me ask-

We have dinner at Palo one night- since we will tip our Palo server, do we still give 3 nights of gratuity to our regular servers? I'm not going to be cheap- if you say yes I'll do it- I don't want people feeling I'm trying to cheat anyone I just want to know what others do! Thanks..... and BOY will I need a drink after all of this anticipation!!! Deep breaths!!:crazy2:

Yes, your wait "team" should be tipped for the night you are not there. Please remember that these servers are working for you at breakfast and lunch also!

There are plenty of beverages on board - Enjoy!

:drinking1 It's party time girl!!! :rockband:

As i have said Before throw the passporter away...

we did not have these boards or passporter for our first cruise with disney and Somehow we had just a great time...

We did not do any excursions and we did not dine at Palo..

Just relax and Enjoy.....

and have a great time...

Princess49,

From a fellow Long Islander, Just go and R E L A X, When we did our 3 dayer, we didn't even get off the ship in Nassau. Sat by the pool, relaxing, reading and sipping those wonderful drinks.

We didn't even do Palos but by all means go and enjoy each others company, life is TOO SHORT.

WOOHOO! Thanks for the support!!!

...So do I tip the different servers during lunch and breakfast? What if I don't have MY servers- I tip my B&L people, the Palo people AND my servers? It seems like a lot- if thats what you're suposed to do, I'll do it but I feel like thats kind of tripling it- Then the lunch servers will be getting from me & from their normal table-- they will get more than my server- what to do what to do... oh boy-Thanks again for the good wishes!!!:D

You will tip the wait staff at the end of the cruise, either at dinner the last night or at breakfast the last morning. Palo tips will be given at the end of the meal. Your dinner server may not do your lunch, but he may do some one elses, so it all works out in the end. Some of them also work on Castaway Cay. I recommend staying on the ship in Nassau and getting off at Castaway Cay.

::MickeyMo 3 days on the WONDER is better than 30 days at work !! Have a magical cruise !!!::MinnieMo :drinking1

Princess, you need to calm down, cause I am getting worked up now! :hyper:

My philosophy is this: I will see what I can at a reasonable pace. What I miss will become my excuse to book the next trip! ::yes::

The morale of the story, just relax and enjoy this "test cruise" :p and have nice relaxing fun. Book another cruise onboard for a later date (which you can then transfer to another time if needed) and maybe your next WDW stay will be one week at the Kingom and 1 week on the boat!! :boat:

How's that for a dream??

P.S. Besides, you need to start packing!!!

:jumping1:

Princess49,

As posted above, You only tip your dinner wait staff, Server, Asst Server, Head waiter & if you dine in Palos, you tip there also as if you were eating out in a resturant at home.

Tthe servers in Palos are not included in the tips you leave for your normal wait staff and the fee charged by DCL for dining there is supposed to cover the tip, but most people add to it. Just do what you feel is right.

Also just to reenforce the tip policy as many people get it wrong, the recommended amount Disney gives you is per person in the cabin per cruise, so on a three day cruise,

the server gets $11.00/person/cruise
the asst serv gets $ 8.00/person/cruise
the head serv gets $ 2.75/person/cruise
the cabin hostest gets $ 10.75/person/cruise

Have fun and don't worry about it.

Here is a cool tip calculator that was posted on here a while ago. Someone can tell us if it is up to date?

Thanks!!

there is no way to do everything that is offered. You just need to go with the flow and do what you want when you want. At least you will know what all the activities are and afterwards you won't think, wow i had no idea that this was going on....if it is something that is really important that you want to do.

relax and have fun!

Ok, I can handle this- thanks for trying to save me from myself:blush: I really shouldn't be on the boards right now... I SHOULD BE PACKING!!! ok, I'm off-- thanks again!!:D

PLEASE NOTE that when you make the Palo's reservations, you have to pay $10/per person at the time of the reservation. That IS the tip for the servers on the night you eat there. No further tipping is required unless you think they deserve something extra.

They will give you envelopes the night before you last dinner and you can go down and pay for the tips at Guest Services if you want and they will give you a slip to put inside the envelope with that tip amount.

THANKS!! I'm packing note cards to go along with the tip envelopes! Thanks again!!
