I don't get the fascination with Dancing with the Stars. I've watched it 2 or 3 times and bleh, it bores me. What am I missing?

Funny, I love AI too. Can't wait. DD17 just asked me the other day when it will start again. Its like a weird family tradition!

As for Dancing with the Stars, I have watched maybe 2 shows and it just didn't hold my interest either. Don't know what I am missing either!

I'm with you 100%. I LOVE reality TV. Give me Idol, Amazing Race, Survivor, pretty much any of them really, and I'm hooked. But I just don't get Dancing With the Stars! Every season when they bring it back, I'm just amazed that it's made it this long, let alone the "cult" following it gets!!
I totally do not get it.

I don't think its for everyone and they do draw it out a bit, 2 nights at least a week.

But American Idol I have absolutely no interest in it at all. The last time that I watched an entire season was 4 years ago.

I love music but what they do just doesn't interest me.

I can't watch Dancing with the Stars either. But I LOVE So You Think You Can Dance - so go figure!! I also love American Idol and Survivor (yeah which is starting Thursday) but for the life of me I can't watch Dancing with the Stars - I think it might be the celebrities - I am not sure. My best friend watches it with a passion every season - me I just don't get it.

I've watched one episode, and actually hated myself afterwards. I don't have high expectations or qualifications when it comes to tv...I'm obsessed with the Hills...but I just couldn't do it.
