Hey Mal,

You have to do diver first. Because you need diver magic to get car magic. Start in Captain's Quarters, get up on dias by finding red circle in left side of room and click on desk to start the diving quest.

When you get stuck we will help you. The quests are hard. LoriR has done them all, I'm pretty sure she is on your list..

now go to Autopia Race Track and click on the computer to start the quest for the blue racing car.

I have nothing open but 2 IE windows and no messenger tonight and it seems to be doing better....let's hope I can finish this one for DS.

Mal, it will help you to not click Next Task after you have just used magic. Because the tasks are timed and you have to wait for the magic to recharge. I would finish a magic task, let the magic recharge and then click Next Task just in case the next task is a magic task. I got stuck a couple times when I didn't have enough time to complete the next task and wait for the magic to recharge...
