OK, I guess I will start the Waiting for OCT-DEC AP rate thread

Momma, thanks for calling. The chatter had died down significantly on here so I feared another dead end rumor. Maybe in the mid day or something.

Thanks for the update. I was beginning to think no one was posting because they were too busy changing their ressies due to a great new code. I guess that's just wishful thinking. Come on October codes!!

I have not got my Sunday paper yet...but I bet it is the AZZ code like others have found.

I was really hoping to see some new "news" today. I'll spend my day dreaming of Disney discounts and cleaning with SPectro soundtrack in the background.

Lets see if anyone else get any other kinds of answers today.

Bummed out again....

Lori

I checked the Sunday paper yesterday and was bummed to find nothing. I was really hoping for something today. Oh well, the getting up at 3:45 am continues...:o

any idea when they MIGHT release the AP rates (since it's not today)? And with the increasing difficulty of finding coded discounted rooms, does anyone feel that we might have a hard time getting an AP discounted room too, even tho they do release an AP rate?
Rhonda

I have no idea when they will come out. Does anyone know when the fall codes were released last year? I'm getting really nervous.
I have no intention of paying rack rate but I'm wondering if I should go ahead and make my reservation for October. I wonder if the rooms are filling up in Oct. and that's why they aren't posting codes.

The craziness of it all is driving me insane!

Heard a couple of things:
October is a very heavy convention month-apparently quite a few resorts are booked up (I'm guessing the ones with convention facilities-CSR, BC, etc).
Food and Wine has been extended this year (starts earlier than in past years).
and there has been a "greater interest" in MNSSHP this year than in the couple of years previous.
Still hoping for some codes but if the resorts are filling on their own, what are the chances?

I read that some fall codes were released mid to end of August last year. I think they are waiting (a. to drive us all nuts and b.
to see how full they can get the resorts without offering any specials)

I just did a little hunt and peck on Mary's website and found the following information...

10/2/03-11/24/03 and 11/28/03-12/26/03 Annual Passholder room-only rates 8/28/03, exp 12/26/03
10/2/03-11/24/03 and 11/28/03-12/26/03 Florida resident room-only code 8/28/03, exp 12/26/03

AP and Fl. resident rates were not released for Oct-Dec. until 8/28/03 last year. I see that a couple of the current deals expire on 8/28/04 so maybe in line with last year, they will be released this year on 8/28.

I'm not giving up hope yet....;)

Anyone looking for CSR, I would guess that won't be a problem. That was the only moderate I could book with the discount code I got. I know Swan and Dolphin aren't offereing the special discounts they ususally do in Oct, likely b/c of conventions. The CM I spoke with told me the BC was really getting full and mentioned conventions there too.

Still hoping for AP rates!!!!!!! Since everyone else who got email codes got MUCH better rates than ours we're still searching too. The ressie I'm holding now is still a bit more than I'd like to pay. I'd do it if I have to but I'd like to see it drop a bit more even for a different resort.

Still hoping for AP rates but I agree with mom_rules ... if the resorts are filling by themselves, Disney doesn't need to offer us any discounts :( I thought I remembered reading that a lot of DIS'ers were having trouble finding AP rates for October last year ... I hope that won't be the case this year.

I am going to a conference at the Swan & Dolphin in October and there are rooms at several Disney resorts put aside for the conference.

"A block of rooms have been reserved at the Walt Disney World Dolphin, Walt Disney World Swan, Disney's Yacht and Beach Club Resorts, Disney's BoardWalk Inn, Disney's Coronado Springs Resort, Disney's Port Orleans Riverside Resort, Disney's All Star Sports Resort and Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort."

Cancelations
45 days prior to the event (September 2).

Hope it is before the 2nd.

Mike

I went ahead and reserved Wilderness Lodge for early Dec.
They didn't have any standard or woods view rooms left. I took a courtyard view for $212 with a AAA discount (through Disney) and am crossing my fingers for a code because I don't want to pay that much!

So your conference is Oct 17? I heard the reason they blacked out Oct 17 to 20 on the e-mail discount was because of this large conference/convention.

There were also no Swan-Dolphin discounts (teachers, etc.) for the weekend of October 30-31 due to conventions there.

I did the same thing, I also made reservations for Oct. and Dec. at the WL, I was getting scared there would be nothing available the way all these great codes were coming out for what seemed like everyone but me! I am hoping to apply a code if and when one does come out, if not I will cancel Oct. The way it looks it maybe a repeat of last year, but if Aug. 29th comes and goes without a code I will be pretty unhappy! I wonder if I can sue Disney for the ulcer I may develop over this!:D

When in Dec. and what type room did you get?

I recently called to change my reservation for Sept. I asked the very informative CM about October codes or any October discounts. She stated, "that those discounts and codes would not come out until 2-3 more weeks." She seemed to know her job very well because I made several changes very quickly and then we just talked about my trip and discounts. Sorry to disappoint everyone!
