ok, I got a Cricut for $70.00

Now I need all you experts help! What carts are essential? What are the must have starter ones? This Cricut came with nothing but the machine, blades and mats. I love to travel and I am a teacher, so what should I start with?

Ok Can't answer any of your questions cause I dont' have one but where did you get one for that price??!?1? At that price it makes me want one really bad!

I bought it on Ebay. I have been looking for about a week and this one is used. I used paypal so I do not feel nervous about getting ripped off. Now I am looking for cartridges

Hi Glo - congrats on your purchase!!! I would suggest that you consider some carts with fonts and other carts for the shapes, interests or icons. For fonts may i suggest Plantin Schoolbook and Alphalicious. For shapes, interests, icons -try Going Places, and My Community - maybe the Mickey Fonts too. Paper Dolls has many characters which are easily adapted to bulletin boards. I think that most of us have varying opinions, so it is probably more personal to you and each cart owner.
Once again, go back to the Cricut . com board and take a look at each cart and the samples for each. Have fun. Caroline

Congratulations Glo! If you are a teacher I would go with the carts that Caroline mentioned. Also Making the Grade might be good. I love Doodle Charms. It has a little bit of everything throughout the year. Have fun with your new bug!
