OK, I can't wait another 200 days for my next cruise!!!

Hey everyone! We have to wait quite a while for our next cruise. I want to thank Disney for the play "AIDA". We saw it in NYC this week and it was OUTSTANDING! No matter what Disney does it is extraordinary. Whether it's a park, a cruise or a show it is the BEST! OK, ok, I will make it.....see you this summer cruisers!

I wish I had seen Aida when it was here for a limited run last year, but we never got to see it.

Do you think 7 year old girls would like and/or be able to follow AIDA?

I would say that this show would be very good for this age group. You would have to explain alittle background knowledge about the setting. Basically, it's a love story between an engaged couple. The groom-to-be meets someone else and so on.....the setting is Ancient Egypt and neighboring Nubia. The costuming is unbelievable, there is Hercules-type humor in the show as well. The songs are great and the dancing is outstanding. I think they would like it. Having taken my girls for years to broadway shows.....I would also recommend Beauty and the Beast and Seussical (but I don't think that's in NYC right now). My girls (12, 15 and 18) really loved this show but I think younger girls would also like it. I would do a matinee with them. Have fun!

Thanks Jawall My girls have been to several shows(Seussical, Cats, Annie, A Christmas Carol, Beauty,Peter Pan) but they were all Child themed that's why I wasn't sure about Aida. Thanks for the background info. Now if I can just find decent priced tickets. $100 a ticket is a little much for our family of 4.

I went directly to the box office the day of the show and I got $42 tickets (partially obstructed view) in the balcony section. The other option was the $100 tickets. The obstruction was very bearable and we had a great time.
