I'm still on a WDW high!

I wanted to type out some Quick Tips for myself while they are fresh in my mind. So here there are:

Disney Trip Report March 2006

Quick Notes:
· Pack less clothing
· Pack only absolutely necessary toiletries
· Find a way to bring in necessary tickets, water, money to the parks without using a bag/backpack to avoid Security Lines
· Find a lanyard that can double as a wallet & ticket holder
· Buy less food in Florida ~ we didn’t eat many carrots or cereal, but we loved having fresh fajita’s [salsa, sour cream, mixed salad in a bag, shredded cheese in a bag, flat bread]
· Spend more time resting, 2 rest days to every 1 park/activity day
· Bring more pins from home to Pin Trade
· Bring lots of quarters and pennies for Penny Press [my kids loved this]
· CROCS for EVERYONE ~ I was the only one with comfy CROCS and never complained about sore feet!
· Don’t check bags ~ carry-ons will do the trick next time ~ tons of folks had huge carry-ons on the plane and in the airport
· MCO Porter!!!!!! After dropping off rental car, get a Porter. He knows exactly where to go in MCO
· If using checked luggage ~ duct tape it for easy identification
· Dollarama has colourful luggage straps, use them next time
· We didn’t need 3 hours to check-in at YYZ or MCO ~ 2 or even 90 minutes would have been fine at both airports
· Have the kids bring less toys and offer Penny Press and Pins at Disney instead to save room in luggage
· Early flights from YYZ to MCO is best
· Afternoon flights from MCO to YYZ is best
· Don’t bring to Florida what you can buy in Florida. I brought two huge bottles of sunscreen and didn’t used half of one

It's a pouch you can hang around your next or use like a purse. Great for holding money, change, receipts, credit crads and ID. Also holds our dd's GAC! :thumbsup2
Sorry you had to come home :guilty: but glad you had a good trip! :cheer2:
Time to plan for the next time :teeth:

You're so right about offering the kids pressed pennies for souvenirs. I read about that from a DISer and decided that this was the thing for us to do.

Before we left for Hawaii and DL for spring break, I went through our penny jar and found at least 2 dozen U.S. pennies that were shiny new looking. Then during our entire trip to Hawaii, I kept collecting quarters. By the time we arrived at DL, I let my DDs go to town on pressing pennies! That was their souvenirs to bring home. We spent less on expensive Disney toys and avoided those lugguage packing issues!

And now that we're home, our kids go through their pressed penny collection all the time to relive their trip.
