I'm kind of in love with the Poly! We are on a grand resort tour, spending one night in studios in OKW, AKV, BLT, Poly, and BWV. We are at the Poly tonight and I don't ever want to leave. This is our first time ever staying here and I totally get why so many people are fans. Its so relaxing and beautiful. We realized this trip we are not studio people, but we will definitely be back for our adult only trips.

I loved the studio units at the Poly when I stayed there in May. They are beautiful. Didn't like the continual blaring of the Ferry Horns from early morning until after midnight though. I almost always stay in studios as it's usually just me and sometimes one other person. I do splurge once in a while on a 1 bedroom if I can't get a studio or need to use up points and I feel very spoiled when I do. I haven't stayed at BLT and it would be my last choice of resorts. I've been in the units & don't care for the configuration of the studios @ BLT so I hope I never have to stay in one.

Never thought we would add on with Poly but we did after staying there. With grown kids a studio or 2 studios works well for us, connecting or not. We went from Poly to BLT on a split stay, enjoyed them both but Disney's ability to create a tropical paradise a stones throw from the stark Contemporary always fascinates me. True escapism.

Looking forward to our 1st stay at the Poly in 34 days. After 2 nights we are moving over to BLT for 7 more. It will be interesting to go from one experience to the other. We really like BLT but something tells me 2 nights at the Poly won't be quite enough.

Luckily our room didn't hear the ferry horn, Tokelau 1909. We also HATED the BLT studio and the whole resort really. Our view was spectacular, but it didn't make up for the fact that I felt like I was staying in a college dorm. Complete with being able to hear everyone's conversations inside their rooms as we walked down the halls. "Do you have to go pee or poo poo?" Should not be able to be heard as you walk down the halls. I think the doors are made of paper.

Oh no! If only your trip was the other way around. I think you'll love your two nights at the Poly!

So great to hear! We'll be there in Nov for 3 nights after 3 nights at AKL. Did you make it to Trader Sams

Did you make it to Trader Sams?

I don't think so. Is that the bar just outside the main volcano pool? We did make it to Captain Cooks and the pool bar. Trader Sams had given out these obnoxious whistles to kids. The kids were then running around wildly blowing them, it was painful to the ears so we steered clear. I'd actually like to smack the person who though handing out whistles was a good idea. What an idiot!

Oh no! That's awful!
