We have been to WDW 4 times--2x in June, 1 in July, and first week of last December. That week the highs were low 80s and lows in the mid 60s.
Well I knew my luck would run out...projected highs for our stay Dec. 5-8 are 68-72 and lows two nights in upper 40s. Even in Ohio (and granted it is projected high 28 for Dec. 5 here) upper 40s is heater weather!
I have had much fun adjusting the AC at the resorts, esp. the Poly--it's either too hot or too cold to sleep--but I don't recall seeing heaters! Do the resorts have them? I know this sounds really dumb doesn't it but I've never had to worry about it before! Specifically I'm staying at the Swan.

10 nights until the Swan

Yes, all the resorts have heat in the rooms, it does get cold in Orlando from time to time. :)

There is no such thing as a stupid question. The only stupid question is the one not asked.

Enjoy your stay!!

Yes, the rooms do have heaters. We usually visit during the summer also, but we visited the week after Thanksgiving in 2000 (had to take advantage of the APs!), and it was rather cold at night!! We were staying at the All Star Movies and the room was nice and warm!! Last years visit in December wasn't that cold at all.

We'll be arriving in Orlando on Dec 4 - hoping for some cooler weather (hopefully not too cold though!)!!! Can't wait!! We'll be bringing sweatshirts!! Although when we were there in 2000, and it was very cold - there were lots of kids swimming in the pool! Even though the water was warm, it must have been a long walk to the room!!!

Enjoy your stay!!!!

Definitely not a stupid question!
We went at the end of Feb in '99 and it was COLD at night....
I am a freeze baby and cannot stand the cold.....yea I know...why do I live in the snow-belt of Ohio!!!???
But.....in the evening when it started to get cold, I was asking the same question at the hotel. Of course DH looked at me like I was crazy......"It's Florida, what do you need the heater on for??"
Well, I DID turn the heat on!:)

Your room will be nice and comfortable. We were at WDW one year when it actually froze almost every night. Just remember to dress in layers that are easy to take on and off, since you'll be going inside and outside all the time. Also, hats and gloves are essential for any ride that moves fast outside. I had someone try to buy my gloves in line for Thunder Mountain. :)

I thought that was a very good question! To be honest I don;t think I ever noticed about the heater thing! My husband always adjusts the room temp just right so I never mess with the things!
Leaving Sunday where there is scattered showers projected and then there will be rain again on Tuesday and those are both the warmest days of the week we will be there!! i guess we will be using the heat for sure next week with highs in the high 60's and lows in the low 50's. Brrrr. For me (native Californian and present Arizonan) I will be freezing my patooties off for sure!!

As my sreensavers says
" there is no such thing as a stupid question... only inquizitive idiots."

We went last December. Our forecast promised highs in the low to mid 70's and lows in the 50's. We got highs in the mid 80's and lows in the upper 60's! You might not need that heater after all!

I can tell you we've used the heaters at the Contemporary and Grand Floridian - and we really did need them, too! :)

Enjoy your trip!
